Odisha Govt Reshuffles Top IAS Officers.

Bhubaneswar: The new BJP government in Odisha has announced a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring nine senior IAS officers and assigning them new roles.

According to the notification:

• Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been appointed Chairman of IDCO, in addition to his current role as Additional Chief Secretary to the Odisha Chief Minister. Hemant Sharma’s additional appointment as Chairman, IDCO will terminate once N.B. Dhal takes over.
• Surendra Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, G.A. & P.G. Department, with additional charge of ACS to the Government, Tourism Department, will also retain the additional charge of ACS, Parliamentary Affairs Department. G. Mathivathanan’s additional appointment as ACS to the Government, Parliamentary Affairs Department will terminate once Surendra Kumar takes over.
• G. Mathivathanan, a 1994-batch IAS officer and ACS to the H & U.D. Department, has been appointed Director General, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar. Anu Garg’s additional appointment as Director General, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar will terminate once G. Mathivathanan takes over.
• Hemant Sharma, a 1995-batch IAS officer and Principal Secretary of the Industries Department with additional charge as Chairman of IPICOL, will also retain the additional charge of Principal Secretary, MS & ME Department. Saswat Mishra’s additional appointment as Principal Secretary, MS & ME Department will terminate once Hemant Sharma takes over.
• Saswat Mishra, a 1996-batch IAS officer and Principal Secretary to the Governor with additional charge as Chairman, OSSSC, will also retain the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Finance Department and Principal Secretary, Energy Department. Vishal Kumar Dev’s additional appointment as Principal Secretary to the Government, Energy Department will terminate once Mishra takes over.
• Usha Padhee, a 1996-batch IAS officer and Principal Secretary, SD & TE Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, C & T Department, will also retain the additional charge of Principal Secretary, H & UD Department.
• Vishal Kumar Dev, a 1996-batch IAS officer and Principal Secretary, Finance Department with additional charge of Chairman, GRIDCO and Principal Secretary, E & IT Department, has been appointed Principal Secretary, E & IT Department. Dev will also retain the additional charge of Chairman, OFDC.
• Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, a 1999-batch IAS officer and Commissioner, Land Records & Settlement, Odisha, has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government, Sports & YS Department. R. Vineel Krishna’s additional appointment as Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Sports & YS Department will terminate once Sarma takes over.
• R. Vineel Krishna, a 2005-batch IAS officer and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, Odisha, has been appointed Commissioner, Land Records & Settlement, Odisha. This post is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government as provided in the IAS Cadre of the State.
