On the occasion of Janmashtami, Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya was adorned with special clothes sent from his maternal home

Lord Shri Ramlala is adorned with all his divinity and aura after Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya. On the first Janmashtami after Pran Pratishtha, the divine beauty of Lord Shri Ramlala adorned with auspicious clothes made of yellow Khadi silk specially prepared by the labourers of Bastar is worth seeing.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said that on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, it is a matter of good fortune for us to have Shri Ram Lalla wear a garment made of yellow Khadi silk manufactured in Chhattisgarh at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Sthal. This garment is made by the artisans of Bastar. The news of him wearing the garment sent from Dandakaranya, where Maryada Purushottam spent most of his exile, is really emotional. It is our wish that the blessings of nephew Shri Ram keep showering on his maternal home.

He said that Chhattisgarh, where people have always received the love and blessings of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Kaushalya, even today the soil here has the same divinity which has been sanctified by the feet of Lord Ram. Chhattisgarh, which has the pride of being the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram, has memories of Lord Shri Ram at every step. It is a proud moment for the people of Chhattisgarh to wear the special dress sent by the artisans of Bastar region, also known as Dandakaranya, where Lord Ram spent most of his exile period, from his maternal home on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. The hearts of all Chhattisgarhis are filled with pride and immense joy when Bhaancha Ram is adorned in the traditional clothes of Mamagaon. This unique dress is a symbol of our traditions and values which connects Lord Shri Ram and Mother Kaushalya to the land of Chhattisgarh. This dress is not just a dress, but a symbol of our culture, our tradition, our unshakable faith and our love and devotion towards Bhaancha Ram.

These clothes of Bhaancha Ram are not just made of thread but are woven with devotion and love by the devotees of his maternal side. These clothes, which reflect the rich cultural heritage of Bastar and the unique art of Chhattisgarh, are also a symbol of the faith and dedication of the people of Chhattisgarh. This Khadi silk, hand-printed with real gold powder, is a testimony to the countless hours of hard work that the artisans of Bastar have spent dedicating in their unconditional devotion to Lord Ram.

The love and blessings of Shri Ram in the form of ‘Bhancha Ram’ have always flowed in the hearts of the people here. The holy soil of Chhattisgarh still preserves the love and devotion with which Mother Kaushalya taught her son. This is the same land where Shri Ram received immense love and respect during his exile, every particle of this place still preserves the unique saga of Bhaancha Ram and Mother Kaushalya.

It is noteworthy that the festival of Shri Krishna Janmotsav was celebrated in a very grand manner in Ayodhya. This is the first Janmashtami after the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Shri Ramlala, for which special enthusiasm and excitement was seen among the devotees. For Janmotsav, along with attractive decoration of the temple with colorful flowers, Panjiri, Panchamrit and many dishes were prepared for the offering. Kirtan and Bhajan were also organized on this auspicious occasion.
