Promote the use of M-Sand from crushed stones to offer sand at affordable prices. – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized on the importance of protecting the environment and providing affordable sand by promoting ‘M-Sand,’ produced from stones through a mechanical process. He advocated for the creation of a policy to support “ready mix” concrete and the establishment of units in every district to engage local youth in MSME activities and entrepreneurship. This initiative is expected to enhance construction quality, reduce project timelines, and should be prioritized in major cities. Additionally, Dr. Yadav highlighted the need to boost metal-based industries in the state, given its rich mineral resources, and suggested examining policies from Orissa to maximize revenue from these resources. The Chief Minister was reviewing the Mineral Resources Department at Mantralaya, with Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana and other officials present.

Latest technologies should be used to prevent illegal transportation of minerals

Therefore, mining activities should be conducted by setting annual targets for revenue activities. The use of the latest technologies including Artificial Intelligence to prevent illegal transportation of minerals should be ensured. Also, necessary amendments should be made to the rules which have become irrelevant at present and necessary action should be taken to promote good governance and ease of doing business. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also sought information about the action being taken towards the establishment of the Petroleum Corporation of Madhya Pradesh for the exploration, production, distribution, and marketing of petroleum and natural gas in the state.
