Airtel Raises Postpaid Tariffs by Up to 10%, Adds Free International Roaming

Bharti Airtel has revised its postpaid plans by around 3-10 per cent, with new prices starting at Rs 499 a month, while adding a complimentary international roaming benefit with each SIM.

New Delhi, Oct 2026 : Leading telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Wednesday announced revised postpaid plans with tariff increases of around 3-10 per cent, while adding free international roaming benefits for customers. The new plans will be effective from Thursday.

Under the revised offerings, individual and family postpaid plans will start at Rs 499 per month, while the top-end family plan will cost Rs 1,799 and cover up to five SIMs.

The company said customers opting for the new plans will receive one complimentary international roaming trip per SIM every year, along with unlimited data and calling benefits under the applicable plans.

The free international roaming pack included with the plans provides 5GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS, with the benefits valid for five days.

The revised plans mark a price increase across Airtel’s postpaid portfolio. The individual plan earlier priced at Rs 449 will now cost Rs 499 per month.

For family users, the Rs 699 plan has been revised to Rs 749 and will offer two SIMs. The three-SIM plan, earlier available for Rs 999, will now cost Rs 1,049.

For customers requiring four SIMs, the revised plan will cost Rs 1,249, while the higher family offering will be priced at Rs 1,449, according to the company.

The five-SIM family plan will be available for Rs 1,799 and will include a Netflix Standard subscription, providing an additional entertainment benefit to subscribers.

Airtel said its revised postpaid plans will also continue to include its spam and fraud prevention features, which are aimed at protecting customers from unwanted communications and potential fraudulent activity.

Amit Tripathi, Director – Market Operations, Bharti Airtel, said the company’s postpaid strategy was focused on providing customers with what it described as a best-in-class experience.

“Postpaid for us is about delivering the best-in-class experience in the Indian market,” Tripathi said.

He highlighted Airtel’s network experience, including its Fast Lane technology on 5G, along with spam and fraud protection and access to entertainment and other services.

“With Free International Roaming for them, we are determined to constantly raise the game for customers and give them more and more reasons to choose Airtel Postpaid,” Tripathi said.

The company said the revised plans would be available to all customers opting for Airtel Postpaid from Thursday.

Existing Airtel customers will also be able to upgrade to the new plans. This includes subscribers currently using older postpaid plans as well as those on prepaid connections who wish to shift to Airtel’s revised postpaid offerings.

The latest move comes as telecom operators continue to adjust tariffs while competing on network quality, bundled entertainment services and additional customer benefits. With international roaming now included, Airtel is seeking to add greater value to its postpaid offerings while revising their monthly prices.
