Begusarai, Oct 2026 : The reported involvement of a man identified as Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan, a native of Bihar’s Begusarai district, in a shooting case linked to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has caused anxiety among his family members. However, the family has denied recognising him in a photograph circulating in connection with the case, while local police have begun inquiries to verify his identity and establish whether he is linked to the incident.
As of now, the reported identity of the person arrested in connection with the case remains unconfirmed. Begusarai police have not issued an official statement establishing that the individual named in media reports is the same person as Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan.
According to family members, Hrithik is the son of Ramu Mahto. His ancestral home is in Badalpura village, under the Matihani police station area, while his family currently lives in Dumri, which falls under the jurisdiction of Singhaul police station.
The family reportedly constructed a house around two years ago on an eight-dhur plot in Ward No. 7 of Dumri. The house has two shutters and an entrance fitted with an iron grille. Hrithik’s father operates a rented shop in the Pipra area, selling food items such as litti and samosas, along with cosmetics. The family depends largely on the shop for its livelihood and reportedly has limited financial resources.
Relatives said Hrithik had earlier worked as a cook with a catering service in Delhi before moving to Mumbai around three months ago. Since his relocation, however, the family has had little information about his employment, daily activities or associates in the city.
Hrithik is reportedly the elder of two brothers. Family members said they had been unable to contact him for nearly 10 days because his mobile phone had remained switched off. His name appearing in media reports about the Mumbai shooting case has intensified their concern, prompting them to try to establish his whereabouts and determine whether he is the person being referred to in the reports.
His mother reportedly denied recognising her son in the photograph circulating in connection with the case. The family has also said it does not possess identification documents that could conclusively establish whether the person shown in the photograph is Hrithik.
Police personnel visited the family’s residence in Dumri as part of their inquiry into his background and recent movements. Ganesh Shankar, station house officer of Ratanpur police station, questioned family members about Hrithik’s earlier employment in Delhi, his subsequent move to Mumbai and the period during which they had lost contact with him.
Information attributed to Superintendent of Police Manish indicates that the absence of identification documents has complicated efforts to verify the reported connection. Police are continuing to gather details about the man’s identity, address and family background.
The police visit and questioning do not, by themselves, establish that Hrithik has been arrested or that he is the individual allegedly involved in the shooting case linked to Tiger Shroff.
The reported Begusarai connection has drawn local attention, but crucial questions remain unanswered, including Hrithik’s current whereabouts and whether the person named in media reports is actually him.
Until the concerned authorities officially confirm the arrested individual’s identity and clarify the circumstances surrounding the case, the alleged connection should be treated with caution. The family’s denial and the absence of official confirmation mean that no definitive conclusion can be drawn at this stage. Further clarity is expected after the police complete their verification.
