Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Visits Farmers' Fields Under the Scorching Sun

Nagpur, November 2026: Even as the first week of November draws to a close, winter has yet to set in, with scorching sunshine and daytime heat continuing to trouble people. Undeterred by the intense heat, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited agricultural fields to assess the ground realities, sending a strong message that he is not merely a Chief Minister who operates from the Mantralaya (state secretariat), but one who stands alongside farmers facing difficult circumstances.

With farmers struggling due to drought-like conditions, the Chief Minister had decided to celebrate Diwali by visiting farmers' homes and extending personal support and encouragement to them.

In keeping with this commitment, Fadnavis arrived at Lohari Sawanga village in Narkhed taluka of Nagpur district on the evening of November 7. He shared dinner with a farming family and later participated in a traditional devotional singing programme (bhajan).

On November 8, the Chief Minister visited agricultural fields and reassured farmers that the state government stood firmly behind them in these challenging times. He visited the farm of farmer Dilip Sarode at Sonegaon Rithi to understand the situation on the ground.

Women from Lohari Sawanga expressed their happiness and surprise at the Chief Minister's visit, saying that they had never before seen a Chief Minister in person. His decision to visit their village and stay overnight had come as a pleasant and memorable surprise.

Their faces reflected the joy of seeing the Chief Minister visit their small village and spend the entire night there, sharing moments with local farming families.

"The day has brought us immense happiness. Today, we have celebrated Diwali in its true spirit. The Chief Minister has become a part of our family, making this moment a matter of great joy and pride for us," the women said.

They also appreciated Fadnavis for consistently standing by the women beneficiaries of the state's Ladki Bahin scheme.

The women described his decision to spend Diwali night in their village as the most special Bhau Beej gift they could have received from their brother-like leader.
