Raipur, Oct 2026 : India’s women’s cricket team completed a 3-0 clean sweep of the T20 International series against Zimbabwe, defeating the visitors by 92 runs in the third and final match at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
After winning the toss and opting to bat, India posted an imposing 216 for seven in 20 overs, powered by explosive performances from opener Shafali Verma and captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
Shafali smashed 69 off just 37 deliveries, hitting six fours and five sixes. She shared a brisk 54-run opening partnership with Anushka Sharma, who contributed 28 runs, setting the platform for India’s formidable total.
Harmanpreet then took charge with a commanding unbeaten 91 off 41 balls. Her innings featured 10 fours and five sixes, helping India maintain an aggressive scoring rate and cross the 200-run mark. Zimbabwe’s Beloved Biza was the most successful bowler, claiming three wickets.
Chasing 217 for victory, Zimbabwe struggled to build momentum and finished at 124 for seven in their allotted 20 overs. Shannon Myers top-scored with 60, while Biza added 44, but their efforts were insufficient to challenge India’s substantial total.
Young Indian pacer Nandini Sharma delivered an impressive performance, returning figures of three wickets for 18 runs. Deepti Sharma, Nikki Prasad, Kranti Gaud and Arundhati Reddy claimed one wicket each, ensuring Zimbabwe could not mount a sustained recovery.
India’s bowlers combined disciplined spells with regular breakthroughs to restrict the visitors well below the required target. The 92-run victory capped a commanding performance in the series and confirmed India’s 3-0 sweep.
Harmanpreet’s unbeaten innings and Shafali’s rapid half-century were central to the result, while Nandini’s three-wicket haul highlighted India’s bowling strength.
The series triumph provided India with a convincing finish, with the team demonstrating its ability to post a big total and defend it effectively in the decisive encounter.
