Led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, a high-level delegation from Madhya Pradesh began the first day of its four-day visit to Dubai, UAE, with a series of high-level engagements. The visit aims to strengthen the state’s global outreach, promote foreign direct investment (FDI), foster industrial collaboration and present Madhya Pradesh as a leading destination for business and industry. The delegation will participate in AIM Congress 2026 from September 7 to 9 and present the state’s industrial capabilities, key sectors and development vision on the global stage.
The delegation was received by officials of the Indian Mission upon arrival at Dubai International Airport. Members of the Indian diaspora residing in the UAE later welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav at Hotel Fortune Atrium. Around 50 members, led by Jitendra Vaidya, participated in the programme. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav described the diaspora as an important partner in Madhya Pradesh’s development and global outreach.
CM Dr. Yadav Inaugurates ODOP and GI Products Exhibition
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated an exhibition of Madhya Pradesh’s One District One Product (ODOP) and Geographical Indication (GI) products at Taj Dubai,
Business Bay. The exhibition showcased the state’s rich handicrafts, handloom and traditional artistic heritage.Six distinctive products were displayed, including Betul’s bell metal craft, Ashoknagar’s Chanderi sarees, Maheshwari sarees from Maheshwar in Khargone, Ujjain’s Batik prints, Bhopal’s Zari-Zardozi embroidery and Gwalior carpets. The products highlight Madhya Pradesh’s traditional skills, cultural diversity and export potential. The initiative seeks to connect artisans with international buyers, expand their global reach and create new economic opportunities.
Strategic Discussions with Indian Diplomatic Leadership
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held detailed discussions with India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Deepak Mittal, and Consul General of India in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy. Discussions focused on the Indian Mission’s role in promoting economic engagement and strengthening ties between Madhya Pradesh and the UAE.
The state’s industrial land availability, connectivity, investor-friendly policies, logistics facilities and industrial infrastructure were highlighted. The Chief Minister sought the Mission’s support in connecting Madhya Pradesh with UAE sovereign wealth funds, leading corporate groups, business organisations and institutional investors. He also invited the Ambassador and Consul General to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit-2027.
High-Level Interaction with President of Arab Parliament
Another key engagement was a special luncheon hosted in honour of His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament. Chief Minister
Dr. Yadav discussed cooperation between Arab countries and Madhya Pradesh in trade, agriculture, tourism and education. He highlighted the state’s strengths in renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, textiles, logistics, advanced manufacturing and urban infrastructure.Chief Minister Dr. Yadav invited His Excellency Al Yamahi and the Arab business delegation to visit Madhya Pradesh and participate in the Global Investors Summit-2027. Discussions also covered food processing, agricultural value chains, cold-chain infrastructure, agricultural logistics and long-term export cooperation. The Chief Minister requested His Excellency Al Yamahi to extend special invitations for GIS-2027 to parliamentary leaders and Speakers of Parliaments from Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the UAE and Yemen. The initiative seeks to deepen ties with these countries in trade, industry, infrastructure, innovation and economic development. Their parliamentary leadership was also apprised of Madhya Pradesh’s policies, industrial infrastructure and the global platform offered by GIS-2027.
Madhya Pradesh’s Development Vision Presented to Global Media
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented Madhya Pradesh’s industrial, infrastructure, tourism and logistics capabilities during a media interaction. He said the state government’s objective is not merely to attract investment, but to create a reliable platform for long-term development with businesses. He highlighted the single-window system, fast-track approvals, progressive industrial policies and strategic geographical location as key advantages for investors.
CM Dr. Yadav Attends ‘Tycoons Dinner’ at AIM Congress 2026
The first day concluded with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s participation in the special invitation-only ‘Tycoons Dinner’ at AIM Congress 2026, hosted by His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, President of AIM Congress. The event brought together representatives of sovereign wealth funds, family offices, institutional investors, global corporations, financial institutions and governments for discussions on global business and economic cooperation.
Among the prominent participants were His Excellency Engineer Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem Al Mansoori, Chairman, Dubai Chambers; His Excellency Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO, Dubai Chambers; His Excellency Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General, GCC; His Excellency Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Kingdom of Bahrain; His Excellency Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary-General, Organization of Turkic States; and His Excellency Badr Jafar, Special Envoy, UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Also present were Her Excellency Aisha Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla, Chairperson, Emirates Business Women Council; His Excellency Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman, Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development; André Wameso Nkwualoloki, Governor, Central Bank of the Democratic Republic of Congo; Emmanuel Tutuba, Governor, Bank of Tanzania; Karim Souaid, Governor, Banque du Liban; and Sangbu Kim, Vice President, World Bank Group.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with senior policymakers, business leaders and financial institutions, outlining Madhya Pradesh’s industrial strengths, logistics capabilities and the roadmap for GIS-2027. He highlighted the state’s potential in manufacturing, food processing, renewable energy, logistics, urban infrastructure, technology and export-oriented industries, and invited global businesses to be part of Madhya Pradesh’s development journey. The interactions opened further avenues for long-term economic engagement between the state and the international business community.
