Jaipur, October 2026 : A meeting was held at the Government Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary V. Srinivas to discuss the allocation of land for a proposed residential project of the Army Welfare Housing Organisation (AWHO) in Neemrana.

The Chief Secretary said the state government would extend the necessary assistance in response to the request received from AWHO. He informed the meeting that the state government had proposed several land parcels as options for the project.

He directed AWHO officials to conduct an on-site inspection of the proposed plots, assess their suitability, and submit a report along with their recommendations to the state government. He said a final decision on land allocation would be taken after receiving the inspection report and holding detailed discussions.

During the meeting, AWHO Managing Director Major General (Retd.) Vikal Sahni informed the participants that the organisation had received 800 applications so far for the proposed residential project in Neemrana. He said at least 20 acres of land would be required to implement the project.

He added that, in accordance with the directions issued at the meeting, an AWHO team would visit the site and conduct a technical survey of the proposed plots.

Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Sainik Welfare Department, Bhaskar A. Sawant, Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, T. Ravikant, and senior Indian Army officers were among those present at the meeting.
