MoUs Worth Rs 8.57 Lakh Crore Signed at Maharashtra Investment Summit

Investment commitments expected to generate 2.91 lakh jobs; 67 MoUs signed

Mumbai, Oct 2026: As many as 67 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) involving investment commitments worth Rs 8,57,452 crore were signed at the Maharashtra Investment Summit on Thursday in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, giving a major boost to the state’s industrial development.

The proposed investments are expected to generate 2,91,109 employment opportunities across various sectors.

The agreements include 10 MoUs each in the aerospace and defence, and energy and cleantech sectors. In terms of proposed investment, data centres, information technology and semiconductors emerged as leading sectors, with investments worth Rs 4,15,490 crore proposed in these areas.

The energy, cleantech, renewable energy, battery energy and compressed biogas sectors accounted for investment commitments worth Rs 1,02,519 crore.

The aerospace and defence sector attracted proposed investments of Rs 27,930 crore, while the metals and mining sector recorded investment agreements worth Rs 75,000 crore.

In addition, investment commitments worth Rs 12,651 crore were signed in the electronics sector, while the healthcare sector accounted for Rs 6,500 crore.

The infrastructure, logistics and construction materials sectors attracted proposed investments worth Rs 18,751 crore, while Rs 7,000 crore worth of investment agreements were signed in the steel manufacturing sector.

The chemicals, agriculture, services and Global Capability Centres (GCCs) sectors together accounted for proposed investments of Rs 8,801 crore.

A further Rs 1,82,810 crore in investments has been proposed across various other sectors.

The agreements signed during the Maharashtra Investment Summit cover a wide range of industries and are expected to strengthen the state’s industrial expansion while promoting technology-driven enterprises and creating employment opportunities on a large scale.

The investment commitments are also expected to support the development of emerging sectors such as semiconductors, clean energy, data centres and aerospace and defence, further contributing to Maharashtra’s industrial and economic growth.
