Raipur, October 2026: The Seva Setu portal has simplified the marriage registration process, making it more convenient for citizens to access government services. A newly married couple from Thakurtola village in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district received their marriage registration certificate just four days after submitting their application.

The couple, Ganpat Dhurve and Hanslekha Dhurve, got married on March 27, 2026. They applied for marriage registration through a Lok Seva Kendra on the Seva Setu portal on October 16, 2026.
The concerned marriage registrar’s office approved their application on October 20, 2026, and issued a digitally signed marriage registration certificate.
With the certificate now available, the couple has an official document establishing their marriage. The certificate can be used for various administrative procedures where proof of marriage is required. It also records details of the registration, including the application and approval dates.
The Seva Setu portal enables citizens to submit online applications for government services through Lok Seva Kendras, reducing procedural difficulties and improving access to essential documentation.
