Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls Announced with January 1, 2027, as Qualifying Date

Draft publication of integrated electoral rolls on November 12; final publication scheduled for January 4, 2027

Eligible citizens can register as voters through Voters.eci.gov.in portal and ECINET mobile app

Jaipur, November 2026 : The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for the Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls, with January 1, 2027, as the qualifying date, in keeping with its annual exercise.

In this connection, a meeting was held on Friday at the Collectorate conference hall under the chairmanship of Jaipur District Election Officer Sandesh Nayak. Representatives of political parties were briefed on the prescribed schedule and procedures for the revision exercise.

The District Election Officer said the draft publication of the integrated electoral rolls would take place on November 12, 2026. Claims and objections would be accepted from November 12 to December 11, 2026. These claims and objections would be disposed of by December 28, 2026, and the final electoral rolls would be published on January 4, 2027.

He said that after the publication of the draft electoral rolls, the list of claims and objections received would be shared every week by the Electoral Registration Officer with all recognised political parties.

The lists would also be displayed on the notice boards of the Electoral Registration Officer's office and at the respective polling stations. This would enable voters and political parties to examine the entries in the electoral rolls and submit claims or objections, wherever necessary, within the prescribed period.

The District Election Officer further explained that any person dissatisfied with a decision of the Electoral Registration Officer regarding an entry in the electoral roll could file a first appeal before the District Magistrate within 15 days.

If the appellant was not satisfied with the District Magistrate's decision, a second appeal could be filed before the Chief Electoral Officer, Rajasthan, within 30 days of the District Magistrate's decision.

He also said that eligible citizens could independently fill out their voter registration forms through the Election Commission of India's portal, Voters.eci.gov.in, or the ECINET mobile application to get their names included in the electoral rolls.

The District Election Officer appealed to all eligible citizens to verify their names and other details in the electoral rolls during the prescribed revision period and apply for necessary corrections or inclusion of their names by following the stipulated procedure.
