Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Directs Faster Construction of Young India Skills University Ahead of Global Summit

Hyderabad, October 2026 : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday directed officials to accelerate construction of the Young India Skills University at Bharat Future City and ensure that the campus is ready in time for the upcoming Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026.

During his visit to Bharat Future City, the Chief Minister inspected the progress of construction at the university and instructed officials to increase the pace of work. He suggested deploying additional workers, if necessary, to ensure that the project is completed at the earliest.

The directions come ahead of the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, scheduled to be held at Bharat Future City from December 7 to 9. The summit, being organised around the assurance “Your investments are safe with us”, is expected to bring together entrepreneurs, investors and business representatives from India and abroad.

As the summit venue is located on the premises of the Young India Skills University, Revanth Reddy emphasised the need to prioritise both the university’s construction and preparations for the international business event.

He instructed officials to organise the summit on an international scale and ensure that all arrangements are completed by the end of November. He also directed them to complete work in the open areas of the venue by November 15.

The Chief Minister stressed that the event should be planned and executed at a level capable of attracting domestic and international entrepreneurs. He called for a coordinated approach among departments and asked officials to begin preparations immediately.

Describing the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026 as more than a conventional business conference, Revanth Reddy said it would serve as a historic platform with the potential to transform Telangana’s economic and political landscape. He underlined the importance of presenting the state as a destination where investors could pursue business opportunities with confidence.

To ensure continuous monitoring and effective coordination, the Chief Minister directed officials to constitute a dedicated committee to oversee the summit’s arrangements. The committee will be responsible for reviewing preparations and ensuring that the necessary work progresses according to the stipulated deadlines.

Earlier in the day, Revanth Reddy inaugurated the newly constructed Future City Police Commissionerate at Ibrahimpatnam. He also opened the Commissioner of Police’s office in the building and extended his best wishes to Commissioner Tarun Joshi.

Following the inauguration, the Chief Minister visited the Young India Skills University at Bharat Future City to review the ongoing construction work.

During the visit, he also laid the foundation stone for the National Institute of Urban Management (NIUM) campus on the premises of the Future City Development Authority (FCDA) office. He examined a model of the proposed campus and reviewed the planned development.

The establishment of the NIUM campus is part of the broader institutional development taking place in the Bharat Future City area, while the skills university is intended to provide a dedicated platform for skill development and training.

The Chief Minister’s visit brought together officials and public representatives involved in the development of Future City and preparations for the summit.

Those present included Legislative Council Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy; Members of Parliament Vem Narendar Reddy, Mallu Ravi and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy; and MLAs Malreddy Ranga Reddy, Veerlapalli Shankar, Prakash Goud and Kale Yadaiah. Chairpersons of various corporations, Director General of Police C.V. Anand and other senior officials also attended.

With the Global Summit scheduled for early December, the state government is focusing on completing essential infrastructure and coordinating arrangements well ahead of the event. The Chief Minister’s directions set clear deadlines for construction and venue readiness as Telangana prepares to host investors and business leaders at Bharat Future City.
