“Suhagan Women Celebrate Vat Savitri Festival at CM’s Residence”

Raipur. Dozens of women, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and his wife, Smt. Kaushalya Sai, performed puja at the Chief Minister’s residence today on the occasion of Vat Savitri Vrat. Suhagan women circumambulated the banyan tree, praying for the long and healthy lives of their husbands. During the puja, the women also listened to the story of Savitri and Satyavan.

After the puja, Mrs. Kaushalya Sai extended her best wishes to all Suhagan women. She said that this festival symbolizes the unbreakable love, affection, and trust between husband and wife. It is an important fast in Hinduism and Sanatan Dharma, as well as a festival of nature worship. During this festival, we worship all trees and the soil. Suhagan women observe this fast for the longevity of their husbands. On this occasion, I extend my congratulations and best wishes to all the women of the country and region. She also conveyed a message of environmental protection, emphasizing the importance of working together to protect trees.
