Uttar Pradesh sees 94,000 registrations on central ‘Mission Karmayogi’ portal

Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh is playing a pivotal role in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative, ‘Mission Karmayogi,’ aimed at enhancing the capacity and efficiency of government employees and officers in line with future needs. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state has significantly expanded its participation in the program, encouraging thousands of employees to join the capacity-building mission.

So far, more than 94,000 government employees and officers in Uttar Pradesh have been onboarded or registered on the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) portal, established to implement the program. Out of these, over 45,000 participants have already enrolled in the course, with nearly 29,000 successfully completing it, including around 6,000 officers.

Mission Karmayogi, approved by the Union Cabinet on September 2, 2020, under the chairmanship of PM Modi, aims to transform government service by equipping employees with the skills and knowledge required for future governance challenges.

The Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management (UPAAM) recently provided an update on the state’s active participation in the central government’s ‘Mission Karmayogi’ program during a presentation to the Chief Secretary. UPAAM Director General Venkateshwar Lu and Additional Director Sunil Kumar Chaudhary led the presentation, highlighting the state’s progress in capacity building for government employees.

According to Additional Director Chaudhary, 43 departmental nodal officers from Uttar Pradesh have been nominated on the Integrated Government Online Training (I-GOT) portal, with over 94,000 officials onboarded. Of these, more than 45,000 have enrolled in the program, and 28,881 have already completed the course, including 5,921 senior officials.

To ensure broader participation, the Yogi government has launched workshops across various government departments under the “Karmachari to Karmayogi” campaign. Training sessions were conducted at 14 state training institutes, and field workshops were organized in 10 districts. Additionally, workshops have been successfully conducted in eight departments so far.

The UPAAM is at the forefront of executing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious ‘Mission Karmayogi’ in the state, aimed at improving the efficiency and capability of civil servants. As part of its role, UPAAM is responsible for nominating nodal officers and Mission Development Officers (MDOs) from each department and organization in Uttar Pradesh, ensuring their registration on the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) portal.

Each department’s personnel will be included on the iGOT platform through their respective nodal officers, making the training initiative comprehensive across the state. UPAAM’s key responsibilities include conducting monthly meetings to track the onboarding progress of personnel, ensuring departments upload relevant course materials, and monitoring the training engagement of civil servants.

Mission Karmayogi focuses on enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of government employees, preparing them to better address the country’s social and economic challenges. The initiative emphasizes continuous education, equipping employees with new technologies, leadership skills, and knowledge of administrative reforms to enable more effective governance.

The iGOT Karmayogi portal serves as a central hub for these efforts, offering a wide range of courses tailored to improve the skills and qualifications of government officials at various levels. Through this platform, civil servants receive targeted training for both personal and professional development, ensuring they remain proficient in their fields and can adapt to evolving administrative needs.
