Will Not Tolerate Malpractice in Implementation of Schemes – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Mumbai : The government implements schemes to benefit the poor and common people. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde issued a stern warning today, stating that it is not appropriate to withdraw money from such entities. Any malpractice in the implementation of these schemes will not be tolerated.

A review of the seven ambitious schemes announced by the government was conducted in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shinde. The meeting was attended by officials of various district-level systems, concerned Collectors, Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Parishads, Divisional Commissioners, and secretary-level officers of various departments at Varsha Government Residence, along with the Chief Secretary.

Chief Minister Shinde emphasized the importance of preventing malpractice in the implementation of the schemes. He urged Collectors and Divisional Commissioners to be vigilant. If any elements engage in malpractice while registering beneficiaries, it should be stopped immediately. Strict action should be taken against anyone demanding money for applications, especially in the Chief Minister’s Ladki Bahin Yojana. Such individuals should not only be suspended but also have a case registered against them and be sent to jail. District Collectors must ensure that no one harasses the beneficiaries of this scheme and regularly review this register.

Instructions were given that only applications filled out at government centers will be considered for verification. Efforts should be made to ensure applications are filled only at official centers. The meeting also directed that those filling applications privately or in any other unauthorized way should be stopped immediately.
