Yogi govt to form task force for transforming Noida into a ‘dynamic city’

Lucknow / Noida : The Uttar Pradesh government, headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is set to constitute a task force in order to develop the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) into a dynamic city, boasting a wide range of industries as well as advanced amenities.

Aligning with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the state government aims at enhancing Noida’s branding, not just as an industrial hub, but as a modern city with cutting-edge urban amenities through the initiative. The dedicated task force will also identify and develop vibrant cultural spaces within the city.

The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority has begun the process of selecting a knowledge partner to expedite the formation of this task force. The task force will include various officers from the authority and district levels, who will oversee several critical functions.

These include compiling progress reports on ongoing projects, monitoring development activities, creating a comprehensive database, identifying investment opportunities, enhancing tourist attractions, and fostering creativity within the area.

It is worth mentioning here that Noida, a key part of the National Capital Region (NCR), like many emerging or planned cities, faces certain challenges. To overcome these, the Yogi government plans to rebrand the city as a vibrant, self-reliant, and livable urban community with a strong emphasis on improving the quality of life.

The new branding strategy for Noida aims to highlight it not just as an industrial hub but as a dynamic city focused on its young population and modern civic amenities. The plan includes developing tourist attractions, creating selfie points, and accelerating the necessary development and construction work to enhance the city’s appeal.

Under CM Yogi Adityanath’s vision, a task force will be established as an integrated implementation wing to spearhead Noida’s rebranding efforts. This task force will craft an action plan which will outline steps for creating a shared vision for the city, identifying and promoting Noida’s unique local character, and highlighting pride points across various platforms.

This strategy will be shared with the authority and district administration as a comprehensive plan for implementation. The project will also focus on public engagement, commercial and investment opportunities, and tourism promotion. Work on this initiative is expected to commence in the third week of September
