Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Pays Grateful Tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on His Birth Anniversary

“Let us spread Dr. Ambedkar’s message of human welfare and work towards strengthening national unity and integrity,” says Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar

Mumbai : On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the architect of the Indian Constitution, the great visionary and Bharat Ratna awardee Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar paid a heartfelt tribute, expressing deep gratitude for his life, work, and ideas. He also extended his greetings to the citizens of Maharashtra on this significant occasion.

Reflecting on Dr. Ambedkar’s monumental contribution, Ajit Pawar stated, “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar fearlessly fought against social evils like ignorance, injustice, blind faith, untouchability, and caste discrimination. It is because of him that every individual in this country received the right to live with dignity. He empowered the poor, marginalized, and underprivileged sections of society with the strength to fight for equality and self-respect. His famous call to ‘Educate, Organize, and Agitate’ transformed generations of the oppressed. Dr. Ambedkar gifted India one of the finest constitutions in the world, which unified our nation despite its vast political, social, cultural, spiritual, and geographical diversity. The Constitution enshrined the principles of unity, equality, and fraternity and guaranteed every citizen equal voting rights, regardless of their economic or social status.”

Deputy CM Pawar added, “Dr. Ambedkar’s vision was not limited to a single caste, religion, sect, or region—it encompassed the well-being of all humanity. He ensured that every Indian had the right to live with dignity and access to equal opportunities for development. His legacy is that of a true statesman, and his thoughts remain relevant for all time.”

Pawar further said, “The real tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar would be to carry forward his vision of human welfare and ensure the inclusive development of our nation by uplifting all sections of society. Dr. Ambedkar gave a strong direction to India’s political, social, and economic systems. We are indeed fortunate that a leader of such caliber was born in our country and gave us a world-class Constitution. He was a man of extraordinary foresight, a multifaceted personality—an expert in law, constitutional affairs, and economics, as well as a writer, journalist, painter, and musician. His groundbreaking movements like the Mahad Satyagraha for water rights, the burning of Manusmriti, his fight for farmers’ rights, and his role in establishing the Reserve Bank of India were all revolutionary milestones in India’s socio-political and economic reform journey.”

Concluding his message, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar appealed, “Let us all work towards taking Babasaheb’s ideas of human welfare to every corner of the country. Let us strive to uphold national unity, integrity, and sovereignty, and strengthen the ideals of equality and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution.”
