Financial Assistance of ₹80,000 Helps Turn Her Dream of Starting a Business into Reality
Raipur, October 2026: Welfare schemes launched by the Chhattisgarh government under the Seva Sankalp Campaign are playing an important role in empowering women economically and helping them become self-reliant.
In one such inspiring example, Chanchal Tiwari, a resident of Chhuikhadan town in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district, has taken a step towards self-employment by benefiting from the Saksham Scheme of the Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh. She received financial assistance of ₹80,000 under the scheme, which enabled her to establish her own fancy store and build a path towards financial independence.
Tiwari used the financial assistance to start her business, which offers a range of women's accessories, beauty products, cosmetics and other fancy items. The venture has provided her with an opportunity to earn an independent income while also helping strengthen her family's financial position.
For Tiwari, the Saksham Scheme has become an important means of turning her aspirations into reality. The financial support helped her overcome the initial challenge of setting up her own business. Today, she is moving forward towards self-reliance through her fancy store.
Her journey is an encouraging example for other women who aspire to establish their own businesses and achieve financial independence.
Tiwari expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and the Chhattisgarh government for providing financial assistance through the Saksham Scheme. She said government initiatives of this kind give women opportunities to become self-reliant and improve their economic circumstances.
Schemes such as Saksham are helping connect women with self-employment opportunities and enabling them to move towards greater financial security and independence.
