NEW DELHI, Oct 2026 : The BJP is invoking Pakistan and Bangladesh to divert public attention from the growing protests against vote-chori (vote theft) across the country, senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said on Sunday, hitting back at controversial remarks by Rajasthan BJP president Madan Rathore.
Taking to X, AAP Rajya Sabha MP and senior leader said, “Whenever BJP is in a crisis, they remember not Mother India but Pakistan and Bangladesh.” Posing some questions to the BJP, he added, “Why do you want to support Pakistan in war? Why did you invite Pakistan’s ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) to Pathankot? Why did you bow at Jinnah’s grave? Why did PM Modi go to Pakistan to eat halwa without being invited? Why did PM Modi’s friend Adani supply India’s electricity to Bangladesh? Why did PM Modi say that they are the warriors of Bangladesh’s freedom?”
Sanjay Singh further said in the post, “Why did PM Modi, who talks about deporting Bangladeshis, give shelter to Sheikh Hasina?” He asked how many Bangladeshis had been found among the 13 crore 37 lakh votes deleted by Gyanesh Kumar at PM Modi’s behest, and how many Bangladeshi infiltrators the Modi government had deported in 12 years.”
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Sanjay Singh said attempts to divert attention from the real issues would no longer succeed, as people had seen through the BJP’s tactics. “The people of the country have seen the party’s conduct, character and true face,” he noted.
He continued, “The BJP is the party whose Rajasthan state president, Madan Rathore, claims that if a war breaks out between the United States and Pakistan, all BJP members will wear half-pants, carry sticks and go to support Pakistan. This is their allegiance to Pakistan.”
The AAP senior leader further stated, “These are the people who bowed at Jinnah’s grave. These are the people whose leader, PM Narendra Modi, invited Nawaz Sharif to his swearing-in ceremony. These are the people who invited the ISI to Pathankot and allowed it to investigate the case involving our martyrs.”
Sanjay Singh explained that when Bangladesh completed 50 years of independence, PM Narendra Modi visited the country and began claiming that he was a freedom fighter in Bangladesh’s liberation struggle and had even gone to jail for helping secure its independence. “The BJP has now provided protection to Sheikh Hasina in India. These are the people who are themselves pro-Bangladesh and pro-Pakistan, yet they question others,” he concluded.
