Hyderabad, Aug 2026 : The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has approached the Lokayukta against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, alleging irregularities in the allocation of five acres of government land in Rangareddy district to a company allegedly linked to his family.
A delegation of BRS leaders submitted a formal complaint before the Lokayukta, seeking an investigation into the allotment of five acres at Raviryal. The party claimed the land, which it said has an estimated market value between Rs 135 crore and Rs 200 crore, was allotted to Tessaract Advanced Systems Private Limited for around Rs 7 crore.
The BRS delegation comprised MLCs Dasoju Sravan Kumar and Mankena Kotireddy, MLAs Kaleru Venkatesh, Mutha Gopal and Sanjay Kalvakuntla, besides BRS Social Media Convenor Manne Krishank.
The leaders alleged that the company had been given access to valuable public land despite having limited operational credentials. They claimed the firm had no employees, a paid-up capital of only Rs 1 lakh and had displayed a purportedly incorrect telephone number on its website.
The BRS has demanded that the five-acre land allotment be cancelled pending the outcome of an investigation. It has also sought a comprehensive probe under the Lokayukta Act into the alleged roles of Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and officials of the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC).
The complaint also focused on alleged links between Tessaract and members of the Chief Minister’s family. According to the BRS representation, Revanth Reddy’s younger brother, Kondal Reddy, identifies himself on his verified LinkedIn profile as an industrialist involved in developing aerospace and defence capabilities through Tessaract.
The BRS said Kondal Reddy had also represented Tessaract as its Chairman at international forums, including events associated with the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum and a US Congressional staff delegation roundtable.
The party further alleged that Kondal Reddy’s son, Nayan Reddy, has described himself on his professional profile as the full-time Chief Executive Officer of Tessaract since January 2025.
BRS leaders argued that the appointments of the two family members as Chairman and CEO placed them in control of the company only months before the disputed land allocation in June 2025.
The party also questioned the company’s claimed business activities. Tessaract has reportedly projected itself as an enterprise involved in aerospace and defence precision manufacturing, forging and casting. However, the BRS alleged that a ground-level inspection found only a small godown or shop-front facility at the location.
The complaint cited the company’s annual return or board filing for the financial year ending March 31, 2025, which, according to the BRS, recorded zero employees.
Another allegation concerned the contact number displayed on Tessaract’s website. The BRS claimed the website initially carried the number “1 2345 6789”, which it described as a fake or non-functional number. According to the party, the number was subsequently changed after BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao publicly raised the issue.
The BRS has called for the Lokayukta to examine the entire process surrounding the land allocation, including the eligibility of the company, the valuation of the land, the decision-making process and the role of officials involved.
The allegations come amid heightened political confrontation between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS in Telangana. The BRS has demanded transparency in the allocation of government land and argued that valuable public assets must not be transferred to entities allegedly lacking the required operational capacity.
The Lokayukta complaint now puts the spotlight on the land allotment and the circumstances surrounding the selection of Tessaract. The allegations, however, remain claims made by the BRS and would require examination by the competent authorities before any wrongdoing can be established.
