Lucknow, Oct 2026 : Even as floodwaters recede, Dr Neeraj Bora’s Narangi Team continues relief and community service efforts to support affected families and help restore essential services in flood-hit areas of Lucknow.
On Saturday, the 15th day of the relief campaign, the team visited Gudiyanpurwa in Daliganj and Mama Colony, Pili Colony, Ganesh Vihar and Durgapuri Colony in Faizullaganj. Essential food supplies and drinking water were distributed to families in need, while efforts were also made to improve sanitation and restore access to safe drinking water.
The initiative is being carried out under the leadership of Dr Neeraj Bora, the local MLA, with a focus on addressing the continuing difficulties faced by residents even after the floodwaters have subsided.
Essential Supplies for Affected Families
As part of the relief distribution drive, the team provided essential food items, including pulses, rice, wheat flour, refined cooking oil, salt and other necessities. Bottled drinking water was also distributed to help meet the immediate needs of families affected by the flooding.
The campaign aims to provide assistance to households struggling to resume their daily routines amid the disruption caused by flooding. While the receding water has eased some immediate concerns, residents continue to face challenges related to cleanliness, drinking water and the restoration of basic amenities.
Support to Restore Water Supply
Alongside the distribution of relief materials, the Narangi Team focused on helping restore essential public utilities. With the assistance of concerned officials and staff, the team supported repairs to malfunctioning government-installed submersible pumps in Durgapuri Colony and Pili Colony.
The initiative helped local residents address disruptions in drinking water supply and work towards restoring normal access to water.
The team also coordinated with municipal corporation employees to improve sanitation in affected neighbourhoods. Special attention was given to cleaning areas where waterlogging had left behind dirt and other post-flood problems, creating difficulties for residents.
Relief Efforts Continue Beyond Flooding
Dr Bora’s Narangi Team has remained active in the affected localities, extending assistance beyond food and water distribution to include efforts to restore basic services and improve living conditions.
The continuing campaign seeks to help families overcome the lingering effects of flooding and return to normal life. Its focus on sanitation and drinking water highlights the importance of sustained support even after floodwaters begin to recede.
Those who participated in the relief and service campaign included Satish Verma, Pradeep Shukla, Lavkesh Singh, Anil Mishra, Mayank Mishra, Gaurav Awasthi and Shailendra Sarkar, along with other members of the Narangi Team.
