Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the Balram Krishi Mahotsav is playing a significant role in making agriculture more profitable by connecting farmers with modern agricultural technologies. He said that the state government is taking every possible step to improve farmers’ welfare. As 2026 is being observed as Krishak Kalyan Varsh (Farmers’ Welfare Year), the Balram Krishi Mahotsav is being organised across all districts of Madhya Pradesh. As of Friday, October 9, district-level events had been held in around 43 of the state’s 55 districts.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that farmers’ prosperity is both the government’s goal and its commitment. Through the Balram Krishi Mahotsav, agricultural experts, scientists and district officials are interacting directly with farmers. Farmers are being encouraged to adopt advanced agricultural techniques, modern farm machinery and innovative practices, enabling them to learn how to increase their income while keeping investment costs low.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that, in changing times, combining traditional farming methods with modern technologies is essential to make agriculture more profitable. The latest information shared by agricultural experts can help farmers improve productivity, use resources more efficiently and explore opportunities to increase their income. He urged farmers to participate in the Balram Krishi Mahotsav and make full use of the guidance provided by agricultural experts.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the government aims to empower farmers economically and create new opportunities for prosperity in the agricultural sector. All necessary measures and arrangements are being undertaken to achieve this objective.
A Strong Platform for Making Agriculture Profitable
The series of Balram Krishi Mahotsav events began on July 15, 2026, and thousands of farmers have benefited from the initiative so far. The Mahotsav is emerging as an effective platform to help farmers overcome the challenges of unprofitable farming, bring modern technologies to the fields and open up new avenues for agricultural success and profitability.
