Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said forgiveness is a virtue that adorns human life, and only a person with a magnanimous heart can truly forgive. Forgiveness helps eliminate ego and enhances the joy and enthusiasm of life. Addressing the Samuhik Kshamavani Mahotsav at the Vidhan Sabha premises on Tuesday, he said that while discharging responsibilities as head of the government, decisions sometimes have to be taken even when they may not be agreeable to everyone. If a mistake occurs, one’s conscience serves as a reminder and inspires one to return to the right path.
The programme was held in the auspicious presence of Param Pujya Acharya Shri 108 Samaysagar Ji Maharaj and presided over by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar. MSME Minister Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap was also present.
PM Shri Modi Has Shown World Path of Peace through Noble Spirit of ‘Live and Let Live’
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the presence of Acharya Shri Samaysagar Ji Maharaj in the Vidhan Sabha, the temple of democracy, was a moment of great significance. He noted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is completing 25 years in public life and said that through the noble spirit of “live and let live”, the Prime Minister has shown the world the path of peace. The Chief Minister said that even countries such as Russia and Ukraine have acknowledged Prime Minister Shri Modi’s efforts to help them find a way out of the crisis of war. He also recalled the courage of Indian-origin pilot Captain Smit Machhar, who saved the lives of civilians through his bravery and conveyed a message of humanity rooted in Indian culture to the world.
State Government Committed to Fulfilling its Resolve for Gau Seva
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state government is committed to creating an environment where all living beings can coexist in safety and harmony. As part of this vision, Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary near Bhopal has been named after Dr. Vishnu Shridhar Wakankar and developed as a tiger reserve. Madhav National Park near Gwalior has also been established. He said two cheetahs will be released in Sagar district on October 7, making it the third site in Madhya Pradesh for the habitat of a species that had once become extinct in Asia.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state government is promoting cattle rearing, increasing milk production and fulfilling its commitment to Gau Seva. A state-level Gopalak Conference was organised in October as part of these efforts. He said Madhya Pradesh is committed to raising its position in milk production from third to first in the country.
Ahimsa is the Foundation of Peace and Happiness: Acharya Shri Samaysagar Ji Maharaj
Param Pujya Acharya Shri 108 Samaysagar Ji Maharaj said Ahimsa is not the religion of any particular individual but the foundation of peace and happiness. He said lasting peace in the world is impossible without compassion, kindness and concern for all living beings. The Chief Minister emphasised the need for collective efforts to promote non-violence in society, saying that forgiveness is the only way to extinguish the fire of anger. Acharya ji said the tradition of seeking forgiveness has existed in India for centuries, which is why forgiveness has been regarded as a true ornament of the brave. He emphasised that self-discipline and a prudent way of life are essential for progress and called for greater efforts to improve the lives of the poor.
Presence of Acharya Shri Samaysagar Ji Maharaj Honours Vidhan Sabha Premises: Speaker Shri Tomar
Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said the presence of Acharya Shri Samaysagar Ji Maharaj had brought honour to the Vidhan Sabha premises. He said the Acharya attaches special importance to Gau Seva and praised the manner in which gaushalas are currently being managed in Madhya Pradesh. The Speaker said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the Centre and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in the state, the government is working to realise the Acharya’s vision. He said India has always stood for peace rather than war and is moving towards regaining its position as a Vishwaguru by following the path of non-violence and peace.

MSME Minister Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap said the spirit of seeking forgiveness holds special significance in the Jain tradition. He said thousands of Jain Acharyas and scholars are spreading the principles of Jainism across India and the world.
Former ministers Shri Jayant Malaiya and Shri Ajay Vishnoi, Madhya Pradesh Housing Board Chairman Shri Om Jain, Shri Rahul Kothari and a large number of members of the Jain community were present at the programme.
