Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed a state-level programme at Government Subhash Excellence School during the distribution of scooties under the Mukhyamantri Scooty Scheme to meritorious Class 12 students of government higher secondary schools. Under the scheme, students who secure 70 per cent or more marks in Class 12 in their first attempt and stand first in their respective schools are eligible for the benefit. More than 7,400 meritorious students across the state received scooties.

State Government Giving Top Priority to Education, Students and Future of MP
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the budget has been significantly increased to expand access to education and improve its quality. He said that Madhya Pradesh was established in 1956, and even after 55 years, the state’s total budget stood at only ₹22,000 crore, while the School Education Department had a budget of merely ₹2,600 crore in 2002-03. The state government has now set a total budget of ₹4 lakh 38 thousand crore for 2025-26, including an allocation of ₹38,000 crore for school education. This reflects the state government’s priority accorded to education, students and the future of Madhya Pradesh. He said that the government is continuously working to provide students with a better educational environment.
Sandipani Schools Surpassing Private Schools in Facilities and Education
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the dropout rate in primary schools, which stood at 16 per cent in 2002-03, has now come down to zero. Well-equipped Sandipani Schools are being established across the state and are surpassing private schools in terms of facilities and education.
The focus is on providing quality education along with modern facilities in these schools. Today, students from Sandipani and government schools account for 50 per cent of those appearing in the merit lists of board examinations. The objective of the government is to prepare students for higher education and provide them opportunities to progress according to their talent.
Digital Facilities Being Expanded Under the Leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the dropout rate in primary schools, which stood at 16 per cent in 2002-03, has now declined to zero. He noted that the nation celebrated Prime Minister Shri Modi's historic birthday on September 17. He highlighted, referring to initiatives undertaken under Prime Minister Shri Modi's leadership, Jan Dhan accounts, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), digital payment systems and COVID-19 vaccination. The Chief Minister said that DBT has strengthened the system of transferring assistance under government schemes directly into beneficiaries' bank accounts.
India's Youth Power Capable of Meeting All Challenges
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the future of the country and the state rests in the hands of the youth. He said that the aspirations of children to become chartered accountants and professionals reflect the continuing growth of India's economy. He said that India has become the world's fourth-largest economy and expressed the view that the country would emerge as a major global economic power in the coming years. The Chief Minister said that Indians are fully capable of meeting major challenges before the world. Respecting the strength and talent of the youth, the state government is moving forward with the resolve of building a developed India by 2047 during the Amrit Kaal.
Distribution of Scooties to Meritorious Students Serves as Inspiration for All Schoolchildren
School Education and Transport Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh said that more than 7,400 meritorious students of government schools are receiving scooties today. Through their tireless efforts, the students have brought pride to their families and society. This is also a source of inspiration for other schoolchildren across the state. He said that the petrol and electric scooties would help students pursue their aspirations and give wings to their dreams. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is continuously working for the welfare of children and remains readily available to interact with them at various programmes.
Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, efforts have consistently been made to bring happiness to the faces of children. He suggested organising a debate competition for students on the work undertaken during the 55 years after Independence and the welfare-oriented initiatives implemented since 2002-03. He said that the state government is firmly committed to securing a bright future for all children in Madhya Pradesh.
Students Aspire to Become CAs, Doctors, Lawyers and Software Engineers
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with students at the programme and learnt about their career aspirations. Madhya Pradesh topper Khushi Rai said that receiving a scooty would make commuting to college easier. She is preparing to become a chartered accountant. Akash Sahu, who comes from a farming family, expressed his desire to establish an agriculture start-up and said that the necessary licences and other preparations are underway.
Ravi Kevat and Mariyam Khan said they aspire to become chartered accountants. Mini Jain said that she has qualified the NEET examination and aspires to become a neurosurgeon. Student Rani Sample said that she wants to pursue higher education and become a lawyer, while Khushi Yadav aims to pursue an MBBS degree. Student Shiv Kumar Kaul expressed his desire to pursue a career in software engineering and contribute to the building of a developed India.
