Jaipur, September 2026 : Justice Sanjay Kumar Agrawal is set to take oath as the new Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court at a ceremony to be held at Raj Bhavan in Jaipur on Monday.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 am, with Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde expected to administer the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Agrawal.
The ceremony is likely to be attended by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, members of the state Cabinet, senior administrative officials and senior police officers. Several senior members of the judiciary and state administration are also expected to be present as Justice Agrawal formally assumes charge as head of the state’s highest court.
Preparations for the ceremony have been completed at Raj Bhavan, with security arrangements strengthened in view of the participation of senior constitutional functionaries, ministers, judicial officers and government officials.
Justice Agrawal’s appointment as Chief Justice marks an important development for the Rajasthan High Court. Following the oath-taking ceremony, he will formally assume responsibility for both the judicial and administrative functioning of the court.
As Chief Justice, Justice Agrawal will have a central role in overseeing the overall functioning of the High Court and ensuring the smooth conduct of judicial proceedings.
