Hyderabad, Sept 2026 : Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Union ministers from the state and leaders across the political spectrum extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, wishing him good health, long life and continued success in public service.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla conveyed his greetings to Modi on his 76th birthday on behalf of the people of Telangana and on his own behalf. He wished the Prime Minister good health, strength and longevity and prayed for continued progress, prosperity and development in the country under his leadership. The Governor also greeted Modi on completing 25 years of public service.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also extended heartfelt birthday wishes to the Prime Minister. He wished Modi happiness, prosperity, excellent health and a long life, expressing hope that he would continue to remain energetic in his service to the country.
Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy also greeted Modi, highlighting his commitment to public service and the goal of a developed India by 2047. In a post on X, Kishan Reddy said Modi’s service and vision continued to inspire the country towards becoming stronger, prosperous and self-reliant.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar also conveyed his birthday greetings to the Prime Minister.
Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao described Modi as an architect of “New India” and highlighted various government initiatives, including Jan Dhan, Swachh Bharat, Ujjwala, Ayushman Bharat, Digital India and GST. He also referred to the expansion of infrastructure and the strengthening of the defence sector while extending wishes for Modi’s long and healthy life.
The birthday greetings from Telangana came as several public programmes were also being organised in the state on September 17. Union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar were among the dignitaries scheduled to participate in Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations at Secunderabad Parade Ground.
Greetings from Andhra Pradesh
In neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also extended birthday greetings to Modi. The Governor conveyed his felicitations on behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh and personally, wishing the Prime Minister a happy, healthy and long life. He also referred to India’s economic growth and prayed for Modi’s continued leadership in guiding the country towards greater prosperity.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu described Modi’s public service journey as spanning 25 years, from his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister to his years as Prime Minister. Naidu referred to the Prime Minister’s emphasis on “Seva, Sankalp, and Sushasan” and wished him a long, healthy and prosperous life.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan also extended his greetings. In his message, Kalyan referred to Modi’s journey from Vadnagar to the country’s highest elected office and highlighted areas including infrastructure, connectivity, digital technology, manufacturing, space, renewable energy and defence.
Kalyan specifically mentioned the expansion of national highways and expressways, railway modernisation, Vande Bharat trains, Digital India, UPI, Make in India, Startup India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. He also referred to India’s defence preparedness and indigenous defence capabilities.
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also wished Modi on his birthday. In a post on X, Jagan prayed for the Prime Minister’s good health, long life and strength to continue serving the nation.
The birthday messages from leaders in both Telugu-speaking states included wishes from leaders belonging to different political parties and constitutional offices. Alongside personal greetings, several leaders referred to Modi’s 25 years of public service and his stated vision of a developed India by 2047.
Prime Minister Modi’s 76th birthday falls on September 17, with political parties, government institutions and organisations across the country holding programmes and service-oriented activities to mark the occasion.
