Chief Minister Rural Bus Scheme Brings Connectivity to Sasoli–Chhiropra Villages
Raipur, April 2026: The Chief Minister Rural Bus Scheme is emerging as a strong means of transportation for villagers in forested and remote areas. Residents of Sasoli and Chhiropra villages in Lundra block of Surguja district are now experiencing easier access to the district headquarters, Ambikapur, saving both time and effort.
End of Long Walking Distances
Girwar Yadav, a resident of Sasoli–Chhiropra, shared that before the launch of the scheme, villagers faced significant hardships. To reach the main road, they had to walk nearly 8 to 10 kilometers to Lundra. Often, they spent hours walking just to catch a bus, and delays would mean missing it altogether, wasting an entire day and disrupting important work. However, since the launch of the Chief Minister Rural Bus Service on the Ambikapur–Korandha–Urdara route, life has changed significantly.
Timely Travel and Safe Return
Under the scheme, buses now pass close to the villages, allowing residents to board easily and reach the district headquarters on time. They can complete their work during the day and return home safely on the same bus. This facility has not only reduced travel expenses but has also made commuting far more convenient, especially for the elderly, women, and students.
Gratitude for the Initiative
Villagers have expressed happiness over this meaningful initiative, which connects previously inaccessible areas to the district headquarters. Girwar Yadav and other residents thanked Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for this thoughtful decision, stating that the scheme is a major step towards strengthening rural connectivity and boosting the local economy.
