The Government is Taking Every Possible Step to Strengthen the Power System – Minister of State for Energy
Jaipur : Minister of State for Energy (Independent Charge) Shri Heeralal Nagar directed divisional officials of the electricity department’s corporations to ensure that the government is taking all possible measures to strengthen the power system. Minister Nagar conducted a meeting with divisional officials of the electricity department in the Collectorate Auditorium in Sikar district on Friday.
Minister Nagar emphasized that the government is sensitive to the timely resolution of public grievances. He instructed all departmental officials to promptly address the issues of the public and ensure that agricultural connections are issued with full sensitivity and proactiveness. He mentioned that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, the state government is working with a positive approach to enhance the electricity system.
During the meeting, the Minister urged the officials to strengthen the electricity supply system and accelerate new projects. He instructed officials to prepare proposals for 132 kV and 33 kV electricity lines in areas like Badwasi, Mukundgarh Mandi, Devipura, Kumawas, and Nawalgarh to ensure approvals are issued promptly. He directed that agricultural consumers receive six hours of uninterrupted power supply for Rabi crops, while domestic and industrial consumers should be ensured 24-hour power supply. Additionally, he instructed officials to replace the burnt transformer in Thoi immediately and ensure timely issuance of electricity connections.
The Minister further instructed officials to ensure that consumer grievances are resolved promptly and that there are no interruptions in electricity supply during the Rabi season. He also emphasized maintaining sufficient materials in the corporation’s stores. He highlighted that the current government is diligently working to improve and strengthen the power infrastructure.
Minister Nagar noted that processes have been initiated to establish new GSS (Grid Substations) and grid substations in the state. He shared that the central government has approved a project worth ₹7,800 crore under feeder separation for electricity reforms in the state, which includes setting up solar plants under the HEM model. Additionally, issues related to meters, billing, and reading faced by electricity personnel have been resolved.
