Andhra Pradesh Elections 2024 : YSR Congress releases manifesto with Nine promises.

YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy unveiled the party manifesto for the upcoming elections, promising a gradual increase in welfare pensions from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,500 per month and enhance the quantum of assistance under a few schemes. Chief Minister and YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released the manifesto with nine promises. Making a few changes to the promises made in the 2019 manifesto under Navaratnalu, he released the manifesto titled Navaratnalu Plus.

In a bid to showcase their accomplishments and outline their future plans, the party leader highlighted their track record of fulfilling 99% of the promises made during the 2019 elections. Emphasizing continuity, they assured the public that if re-elected, they would sustain current welfare initiatives while also expanding upon them.

The YSRCP reaffirmed its commitment to establishing three state capitals, with Visakhapatnam designated as the executive capital, Amaravati as the legislative capital, and Kurnool as the judicial capital. Promising to maintain a focus on education and healthcare for the marginalized, the party leader pledged to build upon existing schemes.

Among the key pledges is the enhancement of financial assistance under the ‘Amma Vodi’ scheme to Rs 17,000 annually, benefiting mothers who send their children to school. Additionally, social security pensions will see a phased increase to Rs 3,500, with enhancements scheduled for January 2028 and January 2029.

Highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s unique support for 66 lakh pensioners, the leader underscored the commitment to farmers through the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme, which will see an increase in annual financial assistance. Tenant farmers will also be included in the scheme.

To support agriculture, interest-free crop loans will be raised to Rs 3 lakh, while initiatives like YSR Cheyutha will continue empowering women aged 45-60. Educational support through Vidya Kanuka for government school students will be upheld.

Furthermore, schemes like YSR Kapu Nestham and EBC Nestham will persist, providing financial assistance to women from specific communities over a five-year period.

Jagan Mohan Reddy reassured voters by promising only what could be feasibly achieved, contrasting his approach with the alleged extravagant promises of the opposition party. Through a detailed presentation, he highlighted the financial implications of fulfilling these promises and questioned the feasibility of such a large expenditure.

Andhra Pradesh is set to conduct assembly elections simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls on May 13.
