53 thousand 959 ballot units for the fourth phase of voting to be held on May 13 in Maharashtra
Lok Sabha 24 : Mumbai, Voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha general election will be held on May 13. A total of 53 thousand 959 ballot units have been made available by the Election Commission for voting in 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in this phase, the Chief Electoral Officer’s office has informed.
In the fourth phase of the election, 29 thousand 284 polling stations have been made available for voting in a total of 11 Lok Sabha constituencies namely Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Raver, Jalna, Aurangabad, Maval, Pune, Shirur, Ahmednagar, Shirdi and Beed. Necessary facilities are being provided at these polling stations through Election Commission and District Administration. A total of 53 thousand 959 ballot units, 23 thousand 284 control units and 23 thousand 284 VVPAT machines have been provided for these polling stations.
This includes 2115 ballot units, control units and VVPAT for 2115 polling stations in Nandurbar constituency, 1982 ballot units, control units and VVPAT for 1982 polling stations in Jalgaon, 3808 ballot units for 1904 polling stations in Raver and 1904 control units and VVPAT, 4122 ballot units for 2061 polling stations in Jalna and 2061 Control Unit and VVPAT, 6120 Ballot Unit and 2040 Control Unit and VVPAT for 2040 Polling Stations in Aurangabad, 7698 Ballot Unit and 2566 Control Unit and VVPAT for 2566 Polling Station in Maval, 6054 Ballot Unit and 2018 Control Unit and VVPAT for 2018 Polling Station in Pune, 2509 in Shirur 7527 ballot units and 2509 control units and VVPAT for polling stations, 4052 ballot units and 2026 control units and VVPAT for 2026 polling stations in Ahmednagar, 3416 ballot units and 1708 control units for 1708 polling stations and VVPAT in Shirdi, 7065 ballot units and 2355 control for 2355 polling stations in Beed. Unit and VVPAT have been made available.
The materials required for the actual election in the fourth phase have been provided at the polling stations. Adequately trained officers and staff have been provided for the smooth conduct of the elections. Police personnel have also been deployed. Their services have been made available by randomizing the manpower. Inspection of EVMs and VVPATs provided at polling stations has been completed and they have also been randomized.
In the fourth phase of the state, the voting process will be held in 11 Lok Sabha constituencies. District administration along with Election Commission of India is ready for this polling. Also, various Bharari teams, static control teams have been appointed to take action on the incidents of violation of the code of conduct. Officers appointed for election work have been trained to handle election materials and EVM machines. The Chief Electoral Officer office has appealed to voters to vote spontaneously.
