Revival of Sanatan Culture Under PM Narendra Modi’s Leadership
₹161 Crore Allocated in the Budget for the Restoration of Temples Across the State
Jaipur – Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma stated that Lord Vishnu is the preserver of the universe, and the Shri Vishnu Mahayajna is not just a ritual but a sacred means of reviving Sanatan culture. He emphasized that the divine grace obtained through yajnas leads people towards righteousness, devotion, and wisdom, making it a noble endeavor driven by the spirit of national and social welfare.
On Sunday, Shri Sharma addressed the inauguration ceremony of the Shri Vishnu Mahayajna and the main entrance gate of Shri Krishna Dham in Guda Mangliyawas (Desuri), Pali. He remarked that the words of saints possess the power to purify even the fallen, and their presence and spiritual discourses act as a remarkable medium for inner purification, guiding society towards faith, culture, and moral values.
Mahakumbh: A Message of Cultural Heritage and Spiritual Progress
The Chief Minister emphasized that such spiritual events strengthen India’s Sanatan culture. He stated that India’s culture is one of the strongest in the world, and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a significant revival of Sanatan culture is underway. He noted that after the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla in the grand temple of Ayodhya, the city has once again become a spiritual and cultural epicenter of Sanatan Dharma.
Shri Sharma further highlighted that the recently held Mahakumbh showcased the strength of India’s cultural heritage to the world, spreading the message of India’s spiritual progress globally.
State Government’s Initiatives for Cultural Development
Shri Sharma informed that the state government has allocated ₹161 crore in the budget to enhance the appearance of various temples across Rajasthan. Additionally, under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme, elderly devotees will be provided pilgrimage tours via air and AC trains in the coming year.
Further, the government has increased the bhog allowance for temples to ₹3,000 and raised the monthly honorarium of priests to ₹7,500. Around 600 temples will host special decoration and aarti programs on various occasions.
Before addressing the gathering, CM Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the main entrance gate of Shri Krishna Dham, offered prayers for the prosperity of the state, participated in the Vishnu Mahayajna, and engaged in cow service.
The event was attended by Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairy & Cow Welfare Shri Joraram Kumawat, Minister of Panchayati Raj & Rural Development Shri Otararam Devasi, MP Shri P.P. Chaudhary, MLAs Shri Pushpendra Singh, Shri Shrichand Kriplani, Shri Kesararam Chaudhary, Smt. Shobha Chauhan, Shri Hamir Singh Bhayal, Shri Chhagan Singh Rajpurohit, along with several public representatives, saints, and a large number of devotees.
