Bijapur Youth Raise Their Voice in Chhattisgarh Assembly – ‘Determined to Eradicate Naxalism and Embrace Development’
Raipur : The Chhattisgarh Assembly premises resonated with the strong voices of youth from Bijapur as they expressed their commitment to a future free from Naxalism and focused on development.
During their educational tour under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Encouragement Scheme, these young representatives from Bijapur unitedly declared before Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, “We want our villages, district, and state to be free from Naxalism and to be part of the mainstream development for a brighter future.”
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai lauded their determination, stating, “Your resolution is our resolution. If the youth of the region are determined, together, we can soon eliminate the darkness of Naxalism and lead Chhattisgarh to new heights of prosperity and development.”
‘Niyad Nella Nar Yojana’ – A Path to Progress
Reassuring the youth, CM Sai highlighted the government’s rapid efforts to bring basic amenities to remote villages under the ‘Niyad Nella Nar Yojana’. He noted that expanding security camps and increased administrative presence in remote areas were shrinking the influence of Naxalism and accelerating development initiatives.
The CM also mentioned his recent discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Delhi, emphasizing that the central government is fully committed to the development of Bijapur and the Bastar region. He assured that both leaders closely monitor the situation in remote areas and regularly review ongoing development projects.
The Chief Minister assured the youth that the government is prioritizing initiatives like installing mobile towers, building paved roads, ensuring electricity supply to every home, and expanding transportation facilities. He emphasized that these efforts are aimed at bridging the rural-urban divide and bringing essential services to even the most remote villages.
A Historic Day for Bijapur Youth – Experiencing the Assembly & Capital City
For the hundreds of young participants from various villages in Bijapur, the visit was an unforgettable experience. As part of their educational tour, they explored Raipur’s railway station, the Chhattisgarh Assembly, and the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram.
During their Assembly visit, they witnessed live legislative proceedings from the spectator gallery, experiencing firsthand the debates and policy discussions of elected representatives. The experience inspired and excited them, reinforcing their belief in democracy and governance.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, and MLAs Dharam Kaushik, Anuj Sharma, and Lata Usendi also interacted with the youth, discussing issues in their villages.

Deputy CM Vijay Sharma reassured the youth that the state government is committed to providing all essential facilities, including paved roads, electricity, clean drinking water, ration, healthcare, and housing in their villages.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized the transformative power of education, stating, “When youth move in the right direction, no force can hinder the region’s progress. The young generation of Chhattisgarh is ready for change, and Bijapur’s youth are leading the way.”

Encouraging them to embrace this transformation, he urged them to make the most of government schemes and contribute to the state’s growth and development.
