Sports Minister approves an estimate of more than Rs. 2.42 crore to enhance the capacity of 25 transformers in the Palwal city
Chandigarh – Haryana Sports Minister, Sh. Gaurav Gautam said that the Government has sanctioned an estimate of more than Rs 2.42 crore to enhance the capacity by 100 and 200 KVA of 25 transformers installed at various locations in Palwal city.
This step aims to strengthen the city’s power supply system and provide relief to the residents from power cuts during the summer season.
The Minister has issued clear directions to the officers of the power department to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the city during the summer. Managing electricity supply as per the rising demand in the summer is the government’s top priority.
*Transformer capacity being enhanced*
The Sports Minister said that electricity demand increases everywhere during summer. Due to the increased load, incidents such as transformer bursts and feeder-related issues frequently arise. Keeping this in mind, the capacity of transformers is being increased. Areas with high transformer load are being identified in every part of the city, and steps are being taken to upgrade their capacity accordingly.
