Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Visits the ‘Sampoorna Van’ Initiative at Padgaon
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar visited and inspected the ‘Sampoorna Van’ (Complete Forest) initiative developed by the JanSahyog organization at Padgaon today. He appreciated the environmental conservation efforts being undertaken by JanSahyog through extensive tree plantation and preservation.
Deputy CM Pawar was in the city today and took the opportunity to visit the ‘Sampoorna Van’ forest garden developed by JanSahyog on the premises of the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Mendhi and Goat Development Project area in Padgaon. MLAs Satish Chavan and Vikram Kale were also present during the visit.
Prashant Gire, President of JanSahyog, provided a detailed overview of the initiative. A total of 22,000 trees comprising 400 different species of trees and plants have been planted in this area. The initiative has significantly boosted biodiversity in the region, it was noted during the interaction.
Deputy CM Pawar also interacted with the workers involved in tree plantation and maintenance. He visited several thematic gardens within the project area, including Bharat Udyan (India Garden), Nakshatra Udyan (Zodiac Garden), and Bamboo Garden. He took interest in learning about the various tree species planted there.
Given the presence of diverse plant species, flowers, and climbers within a single area, the organization also proposed the establishment of a research center at the site. JanSahyog members Sandeep Jagdhane, Nandan Jadhav, and Milind Girdhari were among those present during the visit.
