Cleanliness Drive Held Under ‘Vande Ganga Water Conservation Campaign’

Jaipur — As part of the Vande Ganga Water Conservation Public Campaign, a cleanliness program was organized on Saturday at the Panchayat Samiti headquarters in the village of Kanwar ka Bas Goshala. The event was held in the presence of District Chief Smt. Rama Chopra and CEO of Jaipur Zila Parishad Smt. Pratibha Verma.

During the event held at the local goshala (cow shelter), veterinary hospital, and dairy cooperative, a cleanliness drive was conducted using brooms, and cows were fed fresh green fodder and jaggery. Trees were planted in the goshala, and the cattle enclosures and water troughs were thoroughly cleaned. As part of the campaign, bird feeders were also installed, and grains were offered to birds.

A seminar was conducted in front of the gathered villagers to spread awareness about the Vande Ganga Water Conservation Campaign and the activities planned under it. The seminar highlighted various aspects of water conservation and community participation.

Additionally, a block-level seminar was organized under the Karmabhoomi to Matribhumi campaign. In this session, religious figures and local donors were enlisted at the block level to participate in water conservation initiatives. Discussions were held on how to involve the public and philanthropic donors (Bhamashahs) in activities related to the campaign and other developmental works.

During the workshop, the sarpanch (village head) of Durjaniyawas and Fatehpura Panchayats encouraged and convinced four local donors on the spot to complete specific tasks related to the campaign promptly. They also announced plans to mobilize public support to initiate work on other water conservation structures.

District Chief and the CEO emphasized the importance of water conservation, water structures, and tree plantation, explaining their long-term benefits and future utility. Religious leaders, elected representatives, villagers, and donors present at the seminar pledged to continue supporting the campaign and ensure the sustainability of the activities.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Joint Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, Development Officer, Tehsildar, other block-level officers and staff, the Panchayat Samiti Head, members of Durjaniyawas Panchayat Samiti, sarpanches of Durjaniyawas and Fatehpura, other public representatives, local villagers, and Goshala officials. Everyone actively took part in cleanliness, cow service, tree planting, and other campaign-related activities, contributing their time and effort wholeheartedly.
