Chief Minister Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for Development Projects Worth ₹210 Crore in Purola, Uttarkashi

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth approximately ₹210 crore in Purola, Uttarkashi, on Monday. At a public event in Purola, the CM inaugurated 35 projects and laid the foundation stones for 20 others.

Key announcements included the upgradation of the sports ground in Purola, beautification of the Karn Maharaj Temple in Devra village of Mori, beautification of the Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple in Naugaon, expansion of the Community Health Centre in Naugaon, construction of a bypass road from Purola-Naugaon Motor Road via Dukana Road to Mori Band, and declaration of the route from Devjani Ora in Mori’s Pati Gadugad to Kedarkantha as a designated tourist area.

CM Dhami emphasized that these projects will directly benefit lakhs of people in Purola and surrounding regions. He stated that the initiatives will play a vital role in the region’s all-round development and in enhancing the quality of life of its residents. The projects will boost economic growth, improve connectivity, and create employment opportunities.

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that the past 11 years have been dedicated to service, good governance, and welfare of the poor. The Chief Minister reiterated that his government is committed to fulfilling all previously announced projects in every assembly constituency with determination.

He also highlighted the state’s strict actions against criminal elements, implementation of a strong land law, and the historic adoption of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), making Uttarakhand the first state in the country to do so. CM Dhami affirmed the government’s zero tolerance policy against corruption.

Referring to ongoing developments in education, health, drinking water, and roads, he noted that these will be milestones for the region’s growth. He also pointed to the immense potential for tourism and horticulture in Purola.

Local MLA Durgeshwar Lal welcomed the CM and thanked him for approving the hospital land sanctification and the construction of the Mori-Jakhol Motor Road. Other dignitaries present included MLAs, local officials, and members of the public.
