Chief Minister’s Message on Progress & Integrity

Addressing the gathering, CM Dhami emphasized that the day marks the completion of four successful years of his service to Uttarakhand—since assuming office on 4 July 2021. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Devbhoomi for their trust, which inspires him daily to dedicate himself to the state’s growth and public service.

Highlighting efforts across sectors—from urban and rural development to gender empowerment and employment—he credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Thanks to initiatives like Homestay, Lakhpati Didi, and Solar Self-Employment schemes, Uttarakhand ranks first in the NITI Aayog’s Sustainable Development Goals index.

He also pointed out the state’s sharp drop in unemployment by a record 4.4%, now below the national average. His government introduced 30% reservation for women in government jobs and launched schemes like the Chief Minister’s Women Empowerment Plan, Mahalakshmi, Vatsalya, Aanchal Amrit, and Nutrition Mission.

A Strong Stand for Clean Governance

CM Dhami reaffirmed his resolve against corruption—“zero tolerance.” Over the past 3½ years, more than 200 individuals engaged in corruption have been imprisoned. He warned: “Corrupt individuals should be ready for jail.”

He also emphasized the importance of preserving Uttarakhand’s cultural heritage and demographic character. The government has enacted strict anti-conversion and anti-riot laws, taken firm action against encroachers, introduced a Uniform Civil Code, and implemented a stringent anti-cheating law—resulting in more than 23,000 youth winning government jobs without malpractices.

Vision for Haridwar & Beyond

CM Dhami said that under his administration, Haridwar is being primed to become a modern holy city akin to the Kashi-Vishwanath and Ujjain-Mahakal Corridors. Projects include:

  • Haridwar‑Rishikesh Corridor
  • Construction of a heliport
  • Pod taxi system to decongest traffic
  • Cable car from Har Ki Pauri to Maa Chandi and Maa Mansa Devi temples
  • Bridge over rain-swollen Lal Dhang River plus rope bridge

He vowed that the upcoming 2027 Kumbh period and Kanwar yatra will be “grand, divine, safe, and historic.” His government is committed to retaining Uttarakhand’s cultural uniqueness while progressing forward.

A Unified Path Forward

He reaffirmed that Uttarakhand is moving ahead with clear policies and vision—“development is priority, honesty is identity, and service is our pledge.” With “no-alternative resolution,” his mission to make Uttarakhand a top-tier state remains resolute, and he is confident that with everyone’s support, it will be realized.

The event was attended by Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, MP Kalpana Saini, Doctors Naresh Bansal, MLAs Madan Kaushik, Adesh Chauhan, former CM Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nisank, and officials and dignitaries across various departments.
