Tamil Nadu Achieves Highest Double-Digit Economic Growth in India — CM Stalin Highlights Success of Dravidian Model
Chennai: Tamil Nadu has emerged as the only state in India to achieve a double-digit economic growth rate, showcasing the success of the Dravidian Model of governance. Hon’ble Chief Minister M.K. Stalin highlighted this remarkable achievement through a post on his social media platform.
Tamil Nadu had earlier proudly declared its leadership with a 9.69% economic growth rate, the highest in India. However, the latest revised estimates by the Union Government have now placed Tamil Nadu’s growth rate at a phenomenal 11.19%, further cementing its position as the top-performing state in the country.
The last time Tamil Nadu achieved double-digit growth was in the financial year 2010–11, during the leadership of the late Kalaignar (M. Karunanidhi). Today, under the stewardship of the Dravidian Model Government, following Kalaignar’s visionary path, the state has once again reached this milestone. Both these landmark achievements were under DMK rule.
When the government set an ambitious target of transforming Tamil Nadu into a One Trillion Dollar Economy by 2030, many skeptics doubted its feasibility. But with this robust growth trajectory, what once seemed an aspirational goal is now clearly within reach.
Quoting Kural 666 from Thirukkural, CM Stalin stated:
“Those who plan with clarity achieve their goal if they act with determination.”
