CM Bhajanlal Sharma Reviews Revenue & Colonization Department, Stresses Timely Completion of Budget Announcements

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government is committed to public welfare while upholding the standards of good governance. He directed officials to regularly monitor the progress of budget announcements and complete land allocation, DPRs, and tender processes at the earliest, so that citizens can receive the benefits of development works on time.

Chairing a review meeting of the Revenue and Colonization Department at the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday, Shri Sharma highlighted that the department is innovating through technology to provide better services to farmers. He noted the introduction of the Agristech mobile app, which allows farmers to conduct their own crop surveys, and instructed officials to widely promote the app to maximize farmer participation.

He announced that starting September 18, the government will launch the “Gaon Chalo Abhiyan” (Go to Village Campaign) for three days a week across the state. The campaign will ensure easy access to government services for villagers, including settlement of pending revenue cases such as boundary marking, consent partition, and mutation. “No individual should be left out of the benefits of this campaign,” he said.

On infrastructure, the CM emphasized that building construction works announced in the last two budgets must be completed within deadlines with strict quality monitoring. He also instructed that old government buildings be repaired or reconstructed as required for maximum utilization of resources.

He directed officials to design a plan for disposing of pending land allotment applications in Jaisalmer district and run a special 15-day drive to clear such cases. He also called for simplification of existing rules to improve departmental efficiency.

Officials informed the CM that under the Farmer Registry Scheme, Aadhaar numbers are being mapped with revenue records across all districts, and 87% of farmers’ IDs have already been generated. Additionally, 4.49 crore Unique Land Parcel Identification Numbers (ULPINs) have been issued by uploading geo-referenced sheet files of 48,463 villages on the land map portal.

The meeting also discussed modernization of revenue courts through the Revenue Court Modernization System, restructuring of revenue units, retainer fees for full-time government advocates, changes in land allotment rates in colonization areas, and issues related to the Gram Dan and Bhoodan Act.

Revenue Minister Hemant Meena, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, and senior officials of the department were present in the meeting.
