Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Becomes Emotional After Hearing Flood-Affected Woman’s Pain, Assures All Possible Help
Chandigarh, Sept 2025 : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday visited flood-affected areas of village Gatti Rajo Ke in Ferozepur district. The Chief Minister reached the flood-hit regions by boat to personally assess the situation. He interacted with local villagers, inquired about their well-being, and assured them that the government stands firmly by their side at every step.
During the visit, an elderly woman narrated her plight and placed her hand on the Chief Minister’s head to bless him. Moved by her words and emotions, Bhagwant Mann became teary-eyed. This moment reflected the sensitivity and sincerity with which the Chief Minister is working in times of crisis.
Mann assured that the government will provide full compensation to every person affected by the floods. He also reiterated his demand for the central government to increase disaster relief funds. He added that better preparations will be made in the future to deal with such calamities so that people do not have to suffer.
The Chief Minister visited the homes of villagers, sat with them on the ground, and discussed their problems. He listened carefully and even read a complaint written in Punjabi himself, directing officials to resolve the matter immediately. This gesture showed that the government is not confined to paperwork but is actively working on the ground.
Mann reassured villagers that the administration is continuously engaged in relief operations and is making every effort to move affected people to safe locations. He urged citizens to remain positive and patient, assuring them that normalcy will soon return.
Throughout the visit, Mann wore a bulletproof jacket, yet he mingled with the public warmly, like a family member. He folded his hands while speaking with villagers, greeted children with a smile, and encouraged the youth to stay strong.
The entire visit sent out a strong political message—that the Aam Aadmi Party government is not just sitting in power, but stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the people during times of crisis. Bhagwant Mann’s gestures and interactions demonstrated that Punjab has a government that not only listens but also empathizes and acts promptly.
