Arvind Kejriwal Visits Relief Camp, People Say – “During Your Tenure We Got All Facilities, Now Nothing is Provided”
Delhi, Sept 2025 : Floods and waterlogging have once again exposed Delhi’s lack of preparedness. Areas that previously saw well-organized relief camps with timely tents, mosquito nets, food, drinking water, and doctors are now facing clear mismanagement and negligence. Amid the worsening crisis, people are openly saying that during Arvind Kejriwal’s government, relief measures were faster and more humane. Pumps were installed before waterlogging could occur, drains were cleaned on time, and complete arrangements were ensured at relief camps.
Now, with the Aam Aadmi Party no longer in power and both the MCD and the Centre governed by the BJP, the situation seems to be spiraling out of control. Tents were not set up on time, people did not receive food, there is no clean drinking water, and those suffering from mosquito bites are forced to buy medicines themselves.
Residents are also angry that issues once directly addressed by the Chief Minister and ministers on the ground are now being neglected. No responsible minister has visited to review the situation, nor has any concrete action been taken. Instead, there is a sense of “administrative silence” everywhere.
Kejriwal, after visiting the relief camps, said the current conditions make it clear that today’s governments are busy with rhetoric but are unable to deliver on the ground. He urged governments to rise above politics when it comes to relief arrangements, stressing that this is a humanitarian crisis where delays only increase people’s suffering.
Delhiites are now recalling the days when, under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, every crisis was met with a prompt response. With him no longer in power, many residents are saying, “Looking at today’s situation, we realize that Kejriwal’s government truly worked for us.”
