Rajasthan Tops Nation in PM Matru Vandana Yojana; Over ₹552 Crore Benefits Reached 16 Lakh Beneficiaries
Jaipur, Oct 2025: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Women and Child Development Diya Kumari expressed happiness over Rajasthan securing the first rank nationwide under the Prime Minister Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) for the month of September and congratulated the departmental officials for their efforts.
She called upon the state to continue striving to make Rajasthan number one in all areas of women and child development. Officials informed the Deputy Chief Minister that the ranking is based on overall progress, including beneficiary registration, timely payment, cash transfer within 30 days, and prompt resolution of complaints.
Under the scheme, since 2023-24, over 16 lakh beneficiaries in Rajasthan have received a total of ₹552 crore, providing substantial financial support to pregnant and lactating women.
For the first-time pregnant women, an amount of ₹5,000 is transferred in two installments, while for second-time pregnancies, ₹6,000 is transferred as a conditional lump-sum benefit to the bank or post office accounts of the beneficiaries upon childbirth and completion of immunization.
This achievement highlights Rajasthan’s commitment to enhancing maternal and child welfare and ensuring timely delivery of benefits to the targeted women.
