High-Level Meeting at Police Headquarters on Gang and Hardcore Criminals in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Oct 2025 : A high-level meeting of officers from districts and ranges most affected by organized criminals was held at the Police Headquarters on Saturday under the chairmanship of Rajasthan Police Director General (DGP) Shri Rajeev Sharma. The meeting aimed to ensure strict action against active criminal gangs in the state. Superintendents of Police, Range IGs, and other senior officers attended.

DGP Sharma directed all districts to take immediate and effective action against elements involved in serious crimes such as gang operations, threats, extortion, firing, and murder. The meeting was attended by AGTF head Shri Dinesh M N, ADG Shri Biju George Joseph, Jaipur Police Commissioner Shri Sachin Mittal, ADG Crime Branch Shri Hawa Singh, ATS/SOG officers, officers of the Crime Branch, officers from Bikaner, Ajmer, and Jodhpur ranges, officers of Jaipur and Jodhpur Commissionerates, SPs of 15 districts, and heads of DST and Cyber Cells of these districts and ranges.

DGP Sharma stated that Rajasthan Police is working on a zero-tolerance policy against organized crime. Discouraging criminals and maintaining a sense of security among the public is the top priority, and every police officer must work to full capacity. He emphasized the commitment of Rajasthan Police to face every crime and ensure public safety.

Strict Action Against Gang Activities:

DGP Sharma clarified that action will no longer be limited to individual criminals but will target the entire criminal network. He instructed strict and effective legal action against organized gangs involved in threats, extortion, and spreading fear, including their associates and social media promoters. Officers from districts and ranges presented information on organized criminals and action plans to neutralize them. DGP Sharma directed action under Section 111 BNS against active gang members, confiscation of their assets, targeting financial sources, and bringing their associates within legal boundaries. He emphasized teamwork, use of technology, and adopting both traditional and innovative methods while sharing all intelligence to dismantle gangs completely.

Review of Firing, Murder, and Threat Cases:

Pending cases related to firing and murder were reviewed. DGP Sharma instructed priority action on cases with pending arrests and special drives to apprehend absconding criminals. Reports on threat calls received in several areas were discussed, and technical analysis was directed for swift action. He stressed that no environment of fear or intimidation by criminals will be tolerated.

Key Inputs from Senior Officers:

Senior officers shared their experiences and plans. ADG Dinesh M N presented detailed strategies on gang members, their crimes, and actions taken. Shri Biju George Joseph emphasized sequential tracking and arrest of each criminal. Shri Hawa Singh suggested strategies to track old cases and criminals and eliminate all gangs. Shri Sachin Mittal focused on proper record-keeping and intelligence sharing to ensure effective operations.

15-Minute PPT Review:

The meeting concluded with a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation reviewing crime situations in all districts, sharing updated data on gang wars, threats, extortion, and organized crime.
