Prashant Kishor Questions BJP’s Development Record, Urges Focus on Industries and Jobs in Bihar

Patna, Nov 2025 : Jan Suraj founder and political strategist Prashant Kishor has sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over Bihar’s development, questioning why the state’s votes are taken but its industrial growth is neglected. Speaking on Bihar’s economic and political situation, Kishor highlighted that over the past 15 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused on establishing factories and industries in Gujarat rather than Bihar.

“Is it acceptable that votes are taken from Bihar, but development happens in Gujarat?” Kishor asked, urging the people of Bihar to reflect on their leadership choices. He questioned whether they still wish to remain under the governance of “Nitish uncle” and raised concerns about the alternative political options, referring to Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party and what he termed the “jungle raj of the lantern symbol.”

Kishor emphasized that for Bihar to achieve real progress, political parties must prioritize the creation of industries and employment opportunities. “If attention had been paid to industry and job creation in Bihar, the youth here would have better opportunities, and the state’s economy would be stronger,” he said, urging parties to look beyond short-term electoral gains and invest in long-term economic development.

He criticized the BJP’s development record in the state, arguing that the party has consistently prioritized Gujarat over Bihar when it comes to industrial and employment projects. Kishor’s remarks underline a growing public awareness in Bihar regarding economic development and job creation, suggesting that voters are increasingly ready to hold political parties accountable for promises versus performance.

The statement has reignited political and social discussions across Bihar, drawing attention to the critical link between governance, economic growth, and youth employment. Political analysts suggest that Kishor’s comments could influence upcoming electoral strategies, compelling parties to address development issues more seriously.

Kishor’s intervention serves as a strong reminder to political stakeholders that Bihar’s electorate is increasingly attentive to development indicators rather than solely party loyalty. By raising pointed questions about industry, employment, and political accountability, he challenges voters to evaluate which leaders can genuinely deliver economic growth and opportunities.

His remarks also highlight the need for a renewed focus on industrialization, infrastructure, and job creation as central themes in Bihar’s political discourse. With elections on the horizon, Kishor’s critique may reshape political narratives, signaling that development and employment can no longer be sidelined in the state’s policymaking.
