PM Modi Hails NDA’s Historic Bihar Victory as Triumph of Good Governance, Vows New Era of Development

New Delhi, Nov 2025 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hailed the National Democratic Alliance’s sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections as a landmark endorsement of “good governance, development, and public welfare.” With the NDA returning to power with an overwhelming mandate, the Prime Minister said Bihar was poised for a transformative phase, with renewed focus on infrastructure, culture, youth empowerment, and women’s welfare.

Addressing the nation through the social media platform X, PM Modi described the verdict as “historic and unprecedented,” and credited the people of Bihar for placing their faith in the alliance once again. “Victory of good governance has been achieved. Victory of development has been achieved. Victory of the spirit of public welfare has been achieved. Victory of social justice has been achieved,” he declared.

The Prime Minister assured that the NDA government’s next term would be dedicated to accelerating Bihar’s progress. “We will work actively to give Bihar’s infrastructure and cultural heritage a new identity. The youth and women of the state will be given ample opportunities for a better, prosperous life,” Modi said, emphasizing that inclusive development would remain at the core of governance.

A significant portion of the Prime Minister’s message highlighted the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who, despite political challenges, once again proved his electoral relevance. “The NDA has ensured all-round development of the state. The people have given us a massive majority after witnessing our track record and our vision for taking Bihar to new heights,” he said. Modi congratulated Nitish Kumar, along with NDA leaders Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Upendra Kushwaha, describing the victory as a collective achievement of the alliance.

The Prime Minister praised the NDA workers for their relentless efforts throughout the campaign, noting that they played a crucial role in countering misinformation and presenting the government’s development agenda convincingly. “I express my gratitude to each worker of the NDA who worked tirelessly, met people on the ground, and firmly countered every lie of the opposition,” Modi said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also applauded the NDA’s win, framing it as a decisive rejection of “jungle raj” and divisive politics. According to Shah, Bihar’s electorate had clearly voted for stability, governance, and accountability. “This is the victory of every Bihari who believes in a ‘Developed Bihar’. Those who believe in jungle raj and appeasement politics will never again get the opportunity to loot the state,” he said. Shah added that today’s voters judge governments on the basis of performance alone.

Shah credited booth-level workers and grassroots organizers whose efforts, he said, turned the NDA’s vision into an electoral reality. He further assured the people—particularly women—that the NDA government would work with even greater dedication to fulfil the promises made during the campaign.

With the mandate now in its hands, the NDA leadership has signaled a governance model centered on infrastructure improvement, expansion of welfare programs, strengthening law and order, and generating large-scale employment opportunities. The victory marks not only a consolidation of the alliance’s political strength but also a renewed commitment to Bihar’s long-term development.
