Adani Group Reaffirms Rs 6 Lakh Crore Investment Commitment to Maharashtra

Pranav Adani says ‘Invest Maharashtra’ can turn investor intent into execution, highlighting projects spanning airports, energy, data centres, urban regeneration and infrastructure.

Mumbai, Oct 2026 : Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), has said the launch of ‘Invest Maharashtra’ will create a strong mechanism to translate investor commitments into sustained on-ground execution, reaffirming the Adani Group’s commitment to Maharashtra and its people.

Addressing the ‘Invest Maharashtra’ event in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Adani said the group was proud to contribute to what he described as the twin engines of Maharashtra’s future — industrial growth and improved quality of life for citizens.

He said that through the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos and various partnerships with the Maharashtra government, the Adani Group had committed to an investment blueprint exceeding Rs 6 lakh crore across critical and emerging sectors, including energy, aviation and aero-districts, urban regeneration, data centres and coal gasification.

According to Adani, projects involving investments of around Rs 2.6 lakh crore have already been completed or are currently under execution.

“This is our contribution towards Mumbai 3.0 -- not just a larger Mumbai, but a better-connected, more balanced and more inclusive metropolitan region,” he said.

Adani said the group’s association with Maharashtra goes back several decades, but its recent commitments represent a significant expansion in the scale and scope of its partnership with the state. He noted that Maharashtra has set an objective of becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2030, with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region expected to play an important role.

Highlighting the group’s aviation projects, Adani said it has been managing and developing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), with a focus on passenger experience and operational efficiency. At the same time, the group is developing the greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport, which he described as a major infrastructure project intended to support the future growth of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The Navi Mumbai airport is eventually expected to handle more than 90 million passengers annually, he said.

The group is also developing integrated airport business and hospitality districts around the two aviation gateways, with the aim of supporting urban mobility, commerce and economic activity.

On Mumbai’s power infrastructure, Adani said Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) supplies electricity to more than three million homes and establishments across the city. He said more than 60 per cent of the company’s power supply comes from renewable sources.

Adani also highlighted the group’s 1,000 MW High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission link, which he said provides resilient and renewable power directly to Mumbai and helps protect the city’s financial and commercial core from power disruptions.

The group is also pursuing pumped-storage hydro projects across Maharashtra to support round-the-clock green power generation.

Turning to urban development, Adani said infrastructure must remain focused on people. He highlighted the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, describing it as a major urban transformation initiative centred on residents.

He said the group’s approach involves providing modern housing before relocation, formalising and protecting micro-enterprises and transforming Dharavi into an integrated economic hub while preserving the community’s social and economic character.
