Chennai, Sept 2026 : Filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran has announced that shooting for his upcoming Tamil film ‘Dare Devil’, starring actor Ajith Kumar in the lead, will commence on November 2.
The director shared the update on Wednesday, a day ahead of his birthday, through a post on X. Ravichandran, who has openly expressed his admiration for Ajith Kumar, described the announcement as a special birthday gift from the actor.
“My Sir’s Advance Birthday Gift to me. Yes, we are rolling the dice from November 2. #AK sir’s #DareDevil,” the director wrote while announcing the start of production.
Along with the announcement, Ravichandran unveiled a new poster from the film, offering a glimpse of Ajith Kumar’s character. The actor is seen seated on a chair with a serious expression while holding a pair of dice, reinforcing the film’s title and theme.
The poster also confirms that Ajith will portray the character of Dare Devil in the upcoming film, which has generated considerable interest among his fans.
Adding to the film’s significance is its production connection with Ajith’s family. ‘Dare Devil’ is being produced by his wife, Shalini Ajith Kumar, under the banner of Brave Hearts Production.
The film brings together several members of the technical team who have previously collaborated with Ravichandran on his earlier project with Ajith, ‘Good Bad Ugly’.
Music for ‘Dare Devil’ will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, one of the leading music directors in Indian cinema. His association with the project has further raised expectations surrounding the film’s soundtrack and background score.
Cinematography will be handled by Abhinandan Ramanujam, who has previously worked with Ravichandran and served as the director of photography for ‘Good Bad Ugly’. The collaboration between the director and cinematographer will continue with the new project.
Editor Vijay Velukutty, who was also part of the technical team of ‘Good Bad Ugly’, will handle the editing of ‘Dare Devil’.
The film’s action sequences will be choreographed by noted stunt director Supreme Sundar, while dance choreography will be handled by popular choreographer Kalyan Master.
Costume design has been entrusted to Anu Vardhan, known for her work on several major South Indian productions. Sound design will be handled by Suren.
With Ajith Kumar headlining the project and Ravichandran returning to direct the actor, ‘Dare Devil’ is among the upcoming Tamil films attracting attention from fans. The November 2 shooting schedule will mark the beginning of the film’s production journey, with further details about the cast, story and release plans expected to be announced later.
