Panaji | AAP National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal announced 6 Guarantees for Goa today. Addressing a packed hall at Panaji he promised:
- 24/7 electricity and free 300 units for every Goan
- Rs 3000/month for every woman
- Rs 10 Lakh Health insurance to every family
- Section 39 A to be scrapped within a month
- Free Bus Travel for all women
- Sports ground in every village
Arvind Kejriwal stated that Goa has been suffering under the BJP govt where MLAs get richer moving from simple lifestyles to big cars and bungalows whole Goans are afflicted with high electricity bills, increasing prices of basic goods, water shortages unemployment and rampant corruption.
He added that the BJP has ruined Goa by its corrupt practices. He pointed out that common Goans are being served high electricity bills while AAP provides free electricity where it is in power. There are a dozens of criteria women have to fulfill before they get Grihadhar while in Punjab AAP provides every woman financial support without any terms and conditions. Goa’s Govt hospitals are overburdened and crowded forcing Goans to spend all their money on private care while AAP provides free 10 lakh insurance to every family.
Arvind Kejriwal added that AAP will provide free bus service to every woman in Goa like they do in Punjab allowing women to travel wherever they want for all their needs. He added that Goa’s youth are some of the best atheletes in the country and that like Punjab AAP will provide world class playgrounds to them.
Arvind Kejriwal slammed BJP on Section 39 A stating that all the BJP wants to do is sell land that belongs to Goans and Goa to the highest bidder and line their pockets.
Arvind Kejriwal was asked by a member of the audience how would AAP find the money to fund their schemes, to which he shared that not only has AAP fulfilled their promises in Punjab and Delhi as the problem is not the Govt budget but the intention and political will of the ruling party. He pointed out that there is always money for political leaders but never for the common man He added that Goa has a cash rich Govt and all that is missing is political will and that AAP will ensure that benefits will reach the common Goan and not political leaders.
AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik stated that Goans are fed up of the BJP adding that they have only given Goa 15 years of corruption high prices, crime, & unemployment. Goans are frustrated with the mismanagement and Pocket first mentality of the BJP and now want an AAP Govt. Valmiki stated that AAP MLAs have outperformed even ruling party MLAs in providing services to their constituencies from health clinics to playgrounds to helping youth to get jobs.
AAP Benaulim MLA Capt Venzy Viegas highlighted that BJP has only worked to destroy Goa especially when it benefited their party and leaders. He stated that there was a need to protect Goa from the BJP and that AAP is the only party with the proven track record to do it.
