Chandrababu Naidu Hails Pemmasani as ‘Political Hero’, Praises Nadendla Manohar’s Efficiency

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister lauds the Union Minister’s leadership of an innovative PMAY housing project and appreciates the Civil Supplies Minister’s efforts to shield poor families from rising prices.

Burripalem (Andhra Pradesh) Oct 2026 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday praised Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar and state Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar for their contributions to public welfare and the performance of the alliance government.

Addressing a gathering during the foundation stone laying ceremony for houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Burripalem village of Guntur district, Naidu drew a comparison between the village’s association with Telugu film superstar Krishna and Pemmasani’s emergence as a political leader.

“Once upon a time, the name Burripalem reminded us of Super Star Krishna. Today, another hero has arrived here. While he was a cinema hero, our Pemmasani Chandrasekhar is a political hero,” the Chief Minister said.

Naidu recalled that he had initially been uncertain about Pemmasani’s ability to connect with people after spending a considerable period in the United States.

“I wondered whether he would be able to connect with the people here and mingle with them. But today, seeing his speeches and the way he is integrating with the public, I am extremely happy,” Naidu said.

He added that Pemmasani had adapted well to local conditions and was increasingly working among ordinary people, focusing on their welfare.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the innovative housing project being implemented in Burripalem using 3D concrete printing technology under Pemmasani’s leadership. He said the initiative had the potential to become a model for housing projects across the country.

Naidu also praised Nadendla Manohar, a Janasena leader and minister in the state government, for his handling of the Civil Supplies portfolio, particularly efforts to monitor essential commodity prices.

“The first person who comes to my mind in the Cabinet is Nadendla Manohar. Even if prices of essential commodities rise slightly, he immediately sends me a note explaining the situation and the steps being taken to control them,” the Chief Minister said.

Describing Manohar as an efficient minister, Naidu said he worked consistently to ensure that fluctuations in prices did not impose an excessive burden on poorer sections of society.

Expressing satisfaction that the programme was being held in Manohar’s constituency, Naidu said both leaders were playing important roles in improving public services and implementing welfare initiatives.

He added that their work in key portfolios was strengthening the performance of the alliance government and helping it respond more effectively to people’s needs.

The event brought together housing beneficiaries and local representatives to mark the launch of the PMAY housing initiative in Burripalem.
